About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

1 Samuel 21:1-15 David Asks the Priest for Bread

David Asks the Priest for Bread

1 Samuel 21:1-15                The Book of 1 Samuel [in Smaller Chunks]

Then, David came to Nob to Ahimelech, the priest, [who] was afraid [about] meeting [with] David & said, Why are you alone & is [anyone] with you?

David said, The king has commanded me [on] business & said, [Don’t] let [anyone] know [anything about] the business I have sent you [on] & what I have commanded you. I have [directed] my servants to go to [that] place.

Therefore, [what do you have on hand to eat] now? Give me 5 loaves of bread in my hand, or what [you currently have.] The priest answered David, Under [my control,] there isn’t [any] common bread, but there is some [holy] bread, if the men have at least [abstained] from women.

David answered the priest, [Truthfully,] women have been kept from us these 3 days, since I [left] & the [men’s bodies] are holy. [in the way this is done,] the bread [is considered] common, [even] though it was sanctified this day in the vessel.

So, the priest gave [David holy] bread, for there wasn’t [any] bread there, [except] the [show bread] that [had been] taken from before the Lord, to put in [fresh] hot bread on the day [the other bread] was taken away.

Now a [particular] man of [Saul’s] servants, was there that day, named] Doeg, and Edomite, the chief herdsman [of] Saul, [who had been] detained before the Lord. David said to Ahimelech, In’t there a spear or a sword here under your [control?]

For, I haven’t brought my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king’s business required me [to hurry.] The priest said, The sword of Goliath, the Philistine, whom you [killed] in the Valley of Elah is here. [Look,] it is wrapped in cloth behind the ephod.

[1 Samuel 2:28 And [didn’t] I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be My priest, to offer upon [My] altar, to burn incense & to wear an ephod before Me? And [didn’t] I give to the house of your father all the offerings made by fire of the children [people] of Israel?] If you [want you may] take that, for there is no other, [except] that here.

David said, There is none like it, give it [to] me. [David rose] & fled that day for fear of Saul & went to Achish, [Gath’s] king. [Achish’s] servants said to him, Isn’t this David, the king of the land? Didn’t they sing to one another [about] him in dances, saying, Saul has [killed] 1,000’s & David 10,000’s?

David [remembered] these words in his heart & was [very] afraid of king Achish. [David] changed his behavior [in front of] them & [pretended] to be [crazy] & [drooled] on the doors of the gate & let [spit dribble] down his beard.

Achish said to his servants, [Look,] that man is [insane.] [Why] then, have you brought him to me? [Do I have any need of an insane man,] that you have brought him into my presence? Shall this [insane] fellow come into my house?
