Elihu Asks Job to Listen to His Speeches |
Job 33:1-33 Book of Job [in Smaller Chunks] |
[For this reason,] Job, I pray [that] you, hear my speeches, & [pay attention] to all my words. [Look,] now [that] I have opened my mouth, my tongue [within] my mouth [has] spoken. My words shall be [from] my [upright] heart. And my lips shall [express] knowledge clearly. |
The [Holy] Spirit of God [has] made me, & the breath of the Almighty [has] given me life. If you [can] answer me, [put] your words in order, stand up [in front of] me. [Look,] I am in God's stead, [a.k.a. place,] according to your wish. I am also [a human] formed out of the clay. |
[Look,] my terror shall not make you afraid, neither shall [I] be heavy [handed] upon you. Surely, you [have] spoken [within] my hearing, & I have heard your [own] words, saying, I am clean, without [sin,] & I'm innocent. Neither is there [any] iniquity in me. |
[Look, Job finds] occasions against me, & he [considers] me [as] his enemy. [God puts] my feet in the [wooden] stocks, & He [targets] all my paths. [See,] in this, you [aren't fair.] I will answer you, God is greater than man. [So,] why do you [argue] against Him? |
For [God doesn't give an] account [for] any of His matters. For God [speaks] once, [yes,] twice, & [still] man [doesn't understand] it. [It's] in a dream, [or] a vision [in] the night, when deep sleep [falls] upon men, [slumbering] upon [their] bed. |
Then, [God opens] the ears of men, & [secures] their instruction, [so] that He may hide pride from man, & [turn] man [away] from [his plan.] [God keeps] back [man's] soul from the pit, & his life from perishing by the sword. [Psalm 40:1-2 I waited patiently for the Lord, & He [leaned] to me, & heard my [out] cry. He also brought me up, out of: [a] horrible pit, & [muddy] clay,] & set my feet upon a rock, & established my [actions.] |
[Man] is also [chastised] with [a] multitude of [aching] bones, & strong pain [while in] bed. So that [Job's] life [loathes] bread, & his soul [loathes] [fancy] meats, [a.k.a. foods.] [Job's skin] Is [wasted] away, [so] that [it's barely visible.] And [Job's] bones that weren't seen, [now] stick out. |
[Yes, Job's] soul [draws] near the grave, & his life, to the destroyers. [James 4:12 There is One Lawgiver, Who is able to save & to destroy. Who are you [to] judge another [person?] |
If there [is] a messenger with him, [or a mediator,] 1 among 1,000, to show to man, [God's righteousness,] & then [God] is gracious to [Job,] & [says,] I have found a ransom, [a.k.a. an atonement,] to deliver him from going down to the pit, [a.k.a. grave.] |
[Job's skin] shall be fresher than a child's [skin.] [Job] shall return to the days [like during] his youth. [Job] shall pray to God, & He will [favor Job.] And [Job] shall see [God's] face with joy. |
For [God] will [give] to man, his righteousness. [God looks] upon men, & if any say, I have sinned, & [diverted what] was right, & it [wasn't] [beneficial for] me [to do this.] [1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful to forgive us our sins, & to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.] |
[God] will deliver his soul from going into the pit, & his life shall see the Light. [Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my Light, & my Salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?] |
[Look,] God [often works] [through] all these things with man, to bring back his soul from the pit, & to be enlightened with the Light of the living. [1 John 1:7 But if we walk, [a.k.a. follow,] in the Light, [like] He is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another. And the Blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, [cleanses] us from all sin.] |
[Note] [this] well, & [listen] to me, O Job, & hold your peace, & I will speak. If you [have] anything to say, speak, & answer me, [because] I desire to justify you. If not, [pay attention] to me, & [stay silent,] & I shall teach you wisdom. [2 Peter 3:9 The Lord isn't [slow] concerning His promise, [like] some men [consider slowness,] but is [patient toward] us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.] |
And I heard, but [didn't understand.] Then, I said, O my Lord, What shall be the end of these things? And He said, Go [on] your way, Daniel: for the Words are closed up and sealed till the time of the End. Daniel 12:8-9 KJV
About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible:
About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: Since the Lord had it on my heart to write this blog, I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:
Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible.
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV.
Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning.
For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.
The Table Format:
The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.
