A Psalm of David, to the chief Musician. |
Psalm 11:1-7 Book# 1 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks] |
I put my trust in the Lord. How [do] you say to my soul, Flee [like] a bird to Your mountain? For, [look,] the wicked bend their bow & they [get] their arrow ready on the string, [so] they can [secretly] shoot at [those] with [righteous hearts.] |
What can the righteous do, if the foundations [are] destroyed? [Psalm 82:5 They [don't] know & neither will they understand. They walk on in the darkness & all the foundations of the earth are [off] course.] |
The Lord is in His holy temple & the Lord's throne is in heaven. His eyes [see it] & His eyelids [test] the children of men. The Lord [tests] the righteous: but His soul [loathes] the wicked & [those who] love violence. |
[God] shall rain: snares, fire, brimstones & horrible [storms,] upon the wicked. This shall be the portion of their cup. |
[Revelation 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation. And he shall be tormented with fire & brimstone in the presence of the Holy Angels & in the presence of the Lamb.] |
For the righteous Lord loves righteousness. His countenance [does see] the upright. |
