Psalm 18:1-50 Book# 1 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks]

A Psalm of David, to the chief Musician. David, the servant of the Lord, who [spoke] to the Lord the words of this song [on] the day that the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, & from the hand of Saul. And [David] said:

Psalm 18:1-50            Book# 1 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks]

O Lord, my strength, I will love You. The Lord is my Rock, my fortress, & my deliverer. My God, in Whom I will trust, my strength, my [shield,] my high tower, & the horn of my Salvation. [*2 Samuel 7:12-13 And when your days [are] fulfilled, & you [shall] sleep with your [forefathers,] I will set up your seed, [a.k.a. descendants,] after you, [who] shall proceed [from] your [loins,] & I will establish His kingdom. He shall build [a] house for My Name, & I will [establish] His kingdom forever.]

I will call upon the Lord, Who is worthy to be praised. So, I shall be saved from [my] enemies. [John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, [so] that [whoever] believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God [didn't send] His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.]

The sorrows of death [surround] Me, & [the overwhelming] [flood] of ungodly men [have] made Me afraid. [*Mark 15:9-15 But Pilate answered them, saying, Will you [want] that I release to you the King of the Jews? For [Pilate] knew that the chief priests had delivered [Jesus, because of] envy. But the chief priests moved, [a.k.a. persuaded,] the people, that [Pilate] should [instead,] release Barabbas to them. And Pilate answered & said again to them, What will you [want] then, that I shall do to Him, Whom you call the King of the Jews? And they cried out again, Crucify Him. Then, Pilate said to them, Why, what evil [has] He done? And they cried out [even] exceedingly more, Crucify Him. And so, Pilate, willing to [satisfy ] the people, released Barabbas to them, & delivered Jesus, [after Pilate] had Him scourged, to be crucified.]

The sorrows of hell [surround around] Me, & the snares of death prevented Me [from getting free.] I called upon the Lord, in My distress, & cried [out] to My God. He heard My voice [from] His temple, & My [outcry] came before Him, even to His ears. [Mark 15:33-34 *And when the 6th hour [had] come, there was darkness over the whole land, until the 9th hour. *And at the 9th hour, Jesus cried [out] with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? Which is being interpreted, My God, My God, why [have] You forsaken Me?]

Then, the earth shook, & trembled. Also, the foundations of the hills moved, & were shaken, because He was [angry.] [Matthew 27:50-51 When Jesus had cried [out] again with a loud voice, [He] yielded up the ghost, [a.k.a. died.] And, [behold,] the veil of the temple was [torn] in [two] from the top to the bottom. And the earth [quaked,] & rocks [split.]

Smoke went out of His nostrils there, & fire out of His mouth devoured & coals were [ignited] by it. He bowed the heavens, & also came down: & darkness was under His feet. [Psalm 144:5 Bow Your heavens [down,] O Lord, & come down. Touch the mountains & they shall smoke.]

And He rode upon a cherub, & [flew. Yes,] He did fly upon the wings of the wind. [Psalm 99:1 The Lord [rules.] Let the people tremble. He sits between the cherubims. Let the earth be moved.]

Dark waters & thick [cloudy] skies were His pavilion [around] Him, & He made darkness, His secret  place. His thick clouds, hailstones, & coals of fire passed, at the brightness that was before Him. [Psalm 97:2-3 Clouds, & darkness are [all around] Him. Righteousness, & judgment, [a.k.a.justice,] are His [throne's] habitation. A fire [goes in front of] Him, & [burns] up His enemies [all around Him.] His [lightning] enlightened the world. The earth saw it, & trembled.]

In the heavens, the Lord also thundered: hailstones & coals of fire, & the Highest gave His voice. [Joshua 10:10-11 And the Lord [defeated] them [in front of] Israel, & [killed] them with a [large] slaughter at Gibeon. And chased them along the [road] that goes up to Beth Horon, & [killed] them to Azekah, & [all the way] to Makkedah. And it [happened,] as they fled [in front of] Israel, & were going down to Beth Horon, that the Lord cast down [large] [hail] stones from heaven upon them [all the way] to Azekah, & they died. They were more, [who] died with hailstones, than [those] whom the children, [a.k.a. people,] of Israel [killed] with the sword.]

[Yes,] He sent out His arrows, & scattered them. And He shot out [lightning] [bolts,] & [defeated] them. At your [scolding,] O Lord, at the blast of the breath of Your nostrils, the channels of waters were then seen, & the foundations of the world were discovered.  [Genesis 1:9-10 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together [into] one place, & let the dry land appear, & it was so. And God called the dry land: Earth, & the gathering together of the waters, He called: Seas. And God saw that it was good.]

He sent from above, & He took Me, & He [pulled] Me out of many waters. He delivered Me from My strong enemy, & from [those who] hated Me, for they were too strong for Me. [Mark 15:29-32 *And [those, who] passed by, [ridiculed] Him, wagging their heads, & saying, Ah, save Yourself, & come down off the cross, You, [Who destroys] the temple, & [rebuilds] it in 3 days. *Likewise, the chief priests also mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others, & He can't save Himself. Let Christ the King of Israel, now descend from the cross, [so] that we may see & believe. And [those, who] were crucified with Him [insulted] Him.]

They [confronted] Me [on] the day of My calamity: for the Lord was My [support.] He also brought Me [out] into a large place, & He delivered Me, because He delighted in Me. [Mark 1:9-11 And it [happened during] those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, & was baptized [by] John in [the] Jordan [River.] And coming up [immediately] out of the waters, [John the Baptist,] saw the heavens opened, & the [Holy] [Spirit] descending like a dove upon Him. And a voice came there from heaven, saying, You [Are] My Beloved Son, in Whom I Am Well-Pleased.]

The Lord rewarded Me according to My righteousness. He [repaid] Me according to the cleanness of My hands. [1 Peter 2:21-22 For even [up until now,] you were called [to do this:] Because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, [so] that you should follow [in] His steps, *Who didn’t sin, & neither was [deceit] found in His mouth. *Who when He was [insulted, didn’t insult] again. When He suffered, He [didn’t threaten;] but committed Himself to [God, Who judges] righteously.]

For I have kept the ways of the Lord, & haven't departed from My God wickedly. For all His judgments were before Me, & I didn't put away His [mandates] from Me. [Luke 2:46-51 And it [happened] after 3 days, they found [Jesus,] in the temple, sitting in the [middle] of the doctors, [a.k.a. teachers,] both hearing them, & asking them questions. And all [who] heard Him were astonished at His understanding & answers. And when they saw Him; they were amazed. And His mother said to Him, Son, why [have] you [done this to] us? [Look,] your father & I have sought you, sorrowing. And [Jesus] said to them, How is it that you sought Me? [Didn't] you [know] I must be about My Father's business? And they [didn't] understand the saying which [Jesus spoke] to them. And He went down with them, & came to Nazareth, & was subject to them. But His mother kept all these sayings in her heart.]

I also was upright before Him, & I kept Myself from [My sinfulness.] Therefore, the Lord [has repaid] Me according to: My righteousness, & the cleanness of My hands in His eyesight. [Matthew 4:5-11 Then the devil [took Jesus] into the holy city, & [put] Him on a pinnacle of the temple, & [said] to Him, If You [are] the Son of God, [throw] yourself down. For it is written, He shall give His Angels charge concerning You.  And they shall [carry] You up in their hands, lest at any time You dash Your foot against a stone. Jesus said to him, It is written again, You [shall] not tempt, [a.k.a. test,] the Lord your God. Again, the devil [took] Him up into an [exceedingly] high mountain, & [showed] Him all the kingdoms of the world, & the glory of them. And [said] to Him, I will give all these things [to] You, if You [will] fall down, & worship me. Then, Jesus said to him, Get [yourself] [away from] [here,] Satan, for it is written, You [shall] worship the Lord your God, & you [shall] only serve Him. Then, the devil [left] Him, & [behold,] the Angels came & ministered to Him.]

You [will show] Yourself merciful, with the merciful. You [will show] Yourself upright, with an upright man. [Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.]

With the pure, You [will show] Yourself pure. And with the [stubborn,] You [will show] Yourself [stubborn.] [Proverbs 3:34 Surely, He [looks down on] the scorners; but He gives grace to the [humble.]

For You [will] save the afflicted people; but will bring down [those with] high looks. [Psalm 101:5 I will cut him off, [whoever secretly] slanders his neighbor. And I will not [put up with] him, [who] has a proud heart, & a high look.]

The Lord, My God [will lighten] My darkness, for You [will] light My candle. For by You, I have run through a troop, & by My God, I have leaped over a wall. As for God, His way is perfect. The Word of the Lord is [tested.] He is a [shield] to all those [who] trust in Him. For Who is God, [except] for the Lord? Or Who is a Rock, [except] our God? [Deuteronomy 32:39-40 See now that I, even I, am He, & there is no god with Me. I kill, & I make alive. I wound, & I heal. Neither is there any [who] can deliver out of My hand. For I lift up My hand to heaven & say, I live forever.]

It is God, [Who clothes] Me with strength, & [makes] My way, [a.k.a. path,] perfect. He [makes] My feet like [the] feet [of deer,] & He [puts] Me upon my high places. [Isaiah 58:14 Then, you [shall] delight yourself in the Lord, & I will cause you to ride upon the high places of the earth, & feed you with the heritage of Jacob, your [forefather.] For the mouth of the Lord [has] spoken it.]

He [teaches] My hands to [battle,] so that a bow of steel is broken by [My] arms. You [have] also given Me the shield of Your salvation. [Isaiah 11:1-4 *And a Rod shall come forth there, out of the stem of Jesse, & a Branch shall grow out of his roots, [a.k.a. lineage.] *And the [Holy] Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the spirit of: wisdom, & understanding; the spirit of: counsel, & [strength;] the spirit of: knowledge, & the fear, [a.k.a. respect,] of the Lord, & shall make Him of [immediate] understanding in the fear, [a.k.a. respect,] of the Lord. And He shall not judge, [according] [to what] His eyes [see,] & neither [chastise according] [to what] His ears [hear.] But He shall judge the poor with Righteousness, & will [repay] the meek, [a.k.a. humble,] of the earth with equity. And He shall [strike] the earth with the rod of His mouth, & He shall slay the wicked with the breath of His lips.]

And Your right hand [has upheld] Me, & Your [kindness has] made Me great. You [have] enlarged My [path] under Me, [so] that My feet didn't slip.  [Proverbs 4:11-12 I have taught You in the [ways] of wisdom, & I have led You in [the] right paths. When You go, Your steps shall not be [hindered,] & when You run, You shall not stumble.]

I have pursued [My] enemies, & overtaken them. Neither did I turn [back] again [until] they were [destroyed.] I have wounded [those who] were not able to rise [up.] They [have] fallen under My feet. For You [have clothed] Me with strength [for] the battle. You [have put] under [My control] those [who] rose up against Me. [Revelation 19:11-16 And I saw heaven opened, & [saw] a white horse; & He, [Who] sat upon him, was called Faithful & True. He [judges] in Righteousness, & [makes] war. His eyes were [like] a flame of fire, & many crowns were on His head. And He had a Name written, that no man knew, but [only] He, Himself. *And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood. And His Name is called: The Word of God. And the armies [that] were in heaven, followed Him upon white horses, clothed in white & clean, fine linen. And out of His mouth [goes] a sharp sword, that He should [strike] the nations with it. And He shall rule them with a rod of iron. And He [tramples] the wine press, [a.k.a. wine vat,] of the Almighty [God's] fierceness, & wrath. And He [has] on His vesture, & on His thigh a Name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.]

Also, You [have] given Me the necks of [My] enemies; [so] that I might destroy [those who] hate Me. They cried [out,] even to the Lord, but He [didn't] answer them, [and] there was [no one] to save them. [Judges 10:11-14 And the Lord said to the children, [a.k.a. people,] of Israel, Didn't I deliver you from the: Egyptians, Amorites, the children, [a.k.a. people,] of Ammon, & from the Philistines? Also: the Zidonians, [a.k.a. Sidonians,] Amalekites, & the Maonites, [who] [oppressed] you. And you cried [out] to Me, & I delivered you out of their hand. [Still,] you have [abandoned] Me, & served other gods. [For this reason,] I will no [longer] deliver you. Go, & cry [out] to the gods, [that] you have chosen. Let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.]

Then, I beat them [down like fine] dust, [in front of] the wind. I [threw] them out [like] the dirt in the streets. You [have] delivered Me from the [quarrels] of the people. And You [have] made Me the head, [a.k.a. leader,] of the heathen: a people whom I haven’t known, shall serve Me. [Romans 9:23-26 And [so] that He might make known the [richness] of His glory [on] the vessels [by] mercy, [that] He  had [previously] prepared [for] glory, even us, whom He [has] called, not only the Jews, but also the Gentiles? [Like] He also [said] in [Hosea,] I will call them My people, [who] weren't My people, & [call] her beloved, [who] wasn't beloved. And it shall [happen,] that in the place where it was said to them, You aren't My people, they shall be called there, the children of the Living God.]

As soon as they hear of Me, they shall obey Me. The strangers, [a.k.a. foreigners,] shall submit themselves to Me. The [foreigners] shall fade away, & be afraid [from] their [secret] places. [Revelation 6:14-17 And the heaven departed [like] a scroll when it's rolled together. And every mountain, & island were moved out of their places. And the kings, & the great men of the earth, & the rich men, & the chief captains, [a.k.a. leaders,] & the mighty men, & every man [bound,] & every free man, hid themselves in the dens, [a.k.a. caves,] & in the rocks of the mountains. And said to the mountains & rocks, Fall on us, & hide us from the face of Him, [Who sits] on the throne, & from the wrath of the Lamb. For the great day of His wrath [has] come; & who shall be able to stand?

The Lord [Lives.] And blessed be My Rock, & let the God of My Salvation be exalted. It is God, [Who avenges] Me, & [calms] the people under Me. [Revelation 6:10-11 And they cried [out] with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, Holy & True, [that] You [don't] judge & avenge our blood on [those who] dwell on the earth? And white robes were given to everyone of them. And it was said to them, that they should rest, [still] for a little [while,] until [it's] fulfilled that their fellow servants & their brethren, [who would] be killed [like] they were.]

He [delivers] Me from [My] enemies. [Yes,] You [lift] Me up above those [who] rise up against Me. You [have] delivered Me from the violent man.  [Revelation 20:7-10 And when the 1,000 years are [over,] Satan shall be [loosened] out of his prison, & shall go out to deceive the nations [that] are in the 4 [corners] of the earth, Gog & Magog, the number of whom is [like] the sand of the sea, to gather them together to battle. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, & [surrounded around,] the [Lord's] saints, & the beloved city. And fire came down out of heaven from God, & devoured them. And the devil [who] deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire & brimstone, where the beast & the false prophet are, & shall be tormented day & night forever & ever.]

Therefore, I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the heathen, & sing praises to Your Name. He [gives] great deliverance, & [demonstrates] mercy to his king, to David, His anointed, & to his seed, [a.k.a. lineage,] forever more.

[Revelation 22:16-17 I, Jesus, have sent [My] Angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I Am the Root, & the Offspring, [a.k.a. from the lineage,] of David, & the Bright Morning Star. And the [Holy] Spirit & the bride say, Come. And let him [who hears] say, Come. And let him [who] is [thirsty,] come. And [whoever is willing,] let him take the Water of Life freely.]
