Psalm 55:1-23            Book# 2 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks]

O God, [lend] Your ear to My prayer, & [don't] hide Yourself from My [request.]  I make a noise [as] I mourn in My complaint. [Be there for] Me, & hear Me. [John 11:38-45 Therefore, Jesus, groaning again [within] Himself, [came] to the [tomb.] It was a cave, & a stone, [a.k.a. boulder,] lay upon it. Jesus said, You, take away the stone. Martha, the sister of [Lazarus, who] was dead, [said] to Him, Lord, by this time he [sinks,] for he [has] been dead 4 days. Jesus [said] to her, [Didn't] I [say] to you, that, if you [would] believe, you [should] see the glory of God? Then, they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up His eyes, & said, Father, I thank You, that You [have] heard Me. And I knew that You always [hear] Me. But because of the people, [who] stand [near] by, I said it, [so] that they may believe that You [have] sent Me. And when He has spoken [this,] He cried [out,] with a loud voice, Lazarus, Come [out.] And Lazarus, who] was dead, came out, bound hand & foot with grave clothes. And his face was bound [around] with a napkin. Jesus [said] to them, [Loosen] him, & let him go. Then, many of the Jews, [who] came to Mary, & had seen the things that Jesus did, believed [in] Him.]

Because of the oppression [by] the wicked, & in [their] hate [of] Me, in [fury,] the [enemy's] voice [hurls] [what is] [sinful] upon Me. [Mark 15:16-20 And the soldiers led Him away into the hall called Praetorium.

And they together [called] the whole [unit.] And they clothed Him with purple & [wove] a crown of thorns, & put it [around] His head, & began to salute Him, Hail, King of the Jews!

And they [struck] Him on the head with a reed, & spit on Him. And bowing their knees, worshiped Him. And when they had mocked Him, they took off the purple from Him, & put His Own clothes on Him, & led Him out to crucify Him.]

My heart is [very] pained within Me, & the terrors of death [have] fallen upon Me.  [Luke 22:41-44 And when He was at the place, He said to them, Pray that you [don't] enter into temptation. And He was withdrawn from them about a stone's [throw,] & kneeled down, & prayed, saying, Father, if You [are] willing, remove this cup from Me, nevertheless, not My will, but Yours, be done. And there appeared an Angel to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly; & His sweat was [like] it were [large] drops of blood falling down to the ground.]

Fearfulness, & trembling are upon Me, & horror [has] overwhelmed Me. And I said, Oh, that I had wings like a dove! For then, I would fly away, & be at rest. [Look,] I would then wander far [away,] & remain in the wilderness. Selah.

I would [speed up] My escape from the windy storm, & tempest. O Lord, I have seen violence, & [discord] in the city. Destroy & divide their tongues. [Mark 14:55-56 And the chief priests, & all the council sought for [testimony] against Jesus, to put Him to death. For many bare false witness against Him, but their  [testimony didn't agree] together.]

They go [around] it, upon the walls day & night [spreading discord, &] also [plotting] mischief. Sorrow [is] In the midst of [the city.] [Additionally,] wickedness is in [its] midst. Deceit & [deception don't leave] from [its] streets.

[Matthew 26:3-4 Then, the chief priests, scribes, & the elders of the people, assembled together, to the palace of the high priest, who is called Caiaphas, & consulted [so] that they might take Jesus by [trickery,] & kill Him.]

For it wasn't an enemy [who dishonored] Me. [If it had been,] then I could have [tolerated] it. Neither was he [someone who] hated Me, [who magnified] himself against Me. Then, I would've [hidden] Myself from him. But it was you, a man, [My] equal, [My companion,] & [My] acquaintance.

[Luke 22:47-54 And while He [still spoke; saw] a multitude, & he [who] was called Judas, one of the 12, went before them, & drew [close] to Jesus to kiss Him. But Jesus said to him, Judas, [do] you [betray] the Son of Man with a kiss?

When [those who were around] Him saw what would follow, they said to Him, Lord, shall we [strike] with the sword? And one of them [struck] the servant of the high priest, & cut off his right ear. And Jesus answered & said, You, [even] allow this. And [Jesus] touched his ear, & healed him.

Then, Jesus said to the chief priests, [leaders] of the temple, & the elders, [who had] come to Him, [Have] you come out, [like] against a thief, with swords, & [clubs?] When I was with you daily in the temple, you [didn't] stretch [out your] hands against Me; but this is your hour, & the power of darkness. Then, they took Him, & led Him, & brought Him to the high priest's house. And Peter followed [at a far distance.]

We took sweet counsel together, & walked [into God’s] house, in [each other's] company. [Psalm 41:9 [Yes, My] Own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, [who ate] of My bread, [has] lifted up his heel against Me.]

Let them [be] [seized] [by] death, & let them go down into hell [quickly.] For wickedness is among them in their dwellings. [Matthew 27:3-5 Then, Judas, [who] had betrayed Him, when he saw that [Jesus Christ] was condemned, [he regretted,] & brought again the 30 pieces of silver to the chief priests, & elders, saying, I have sinned, in that, I have betrayed the [bloodshed] [of the] Innocent. And they said, What is that to us? You, see to that. And [Judas] cast down the 30 pieces of silver in the temple, & departed, & went, & [hung] himself.]

As for Me, I will call upon God, & the Lord shall save Me. I will pray, & cry aloud: evening, morning, & at noon, & He shall hear my voice. He [has] delivered My soul in peace, from that battle that was against Me. For there were many [against] Me. [Romans 8:31 Then, what shall we say to these things? If God [is] for us, who can be against us?]

God, even He, [Who remains] of old, shall hear, & afflict them. Because they [don't] fear, [a.k.a. respect,] God, therefore they [haven't changed.] Selah. [Deuteronomy 33:27 The eternal God is your refuge, & underneath are the everlasting arms [of God.] And He shall [throw] out the enemy from before you, & shall say, Destroy them.]

He [has] broken [God's] covenant, [a.k.a. contract,] & has put [out] his hands against [those who are] at peace with him. [Acts 12:1-3 Now about that time, Herod, the king, stretched [out] his hands to [harass some] of the church.

And he killed James, the brother of John, with the sword. And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to [seize] Peter also. ([Those] were [during] the days of unleavened bread.)]

The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart. His words were [slicker] than oil, yet [his words] were [like] drawn swords. [Psalm 57:3-4 [God] shall send from heaven, & save Me from the [disgrace] of him, [who] would swallow Me up. Selah. God shall send [out] His mercy, & His Truth. My soul, [a.k.a. life,] is among lions: & I even lie among [those who] are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears & arrows, & their tongue, a sharp sword.]

Cast your burden upon the Lord, & He shall [support] you. He shall never [allow] the righteous to be [removed.] [1 Peter 5:7-8 [Cast] all your [cares] upon [the Lord God,] for He [cares] for you. Be sober, & be vigilant; because your [enemy,] the devil, [is] [like] a roaring lion, [walking around,] seeking whom he may devour.]

O God, but You [shall] bring [those] bloody & deceitful men down into the pit of destruction. [These] shall not live out half their days, but I will trust in You. [Proverbs 10:27 The fear, [a.k.a. respect,] of the Lord prolongs the days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.]
