Psalm 69:1-36            Book# 2 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks]

O God, save me: for the waters [have] come in [& threaten] my soul, [a.k.a. life.] [Jonah 2:5 The waters [surrounded around] me, even to the soul. The [depths] closed [all around] me, & the [seaweeds] were wrapped [around] my head.]

I sink in [the muddy depths,] where there is no standing. I [have] come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. I am [tired] of my crying. My throat is dried [out,] & [my] eyes fail, while I wait for my God.

*[Those who] hate Me without a cause are more than the hairs of [My] head. [*John 15:25 But this [comes] to pass, [so] that the Word might be fulfilled that is written in their Law, They hated Me without a cause.]

[Those who want] [to] destroy Me, [mistakenly] being [My] enemies, are mighty. Then I restored, [what] I [didn't take] away. [1 John 2:1-2 My little children, I will write these things to you, [so] you [don't] sin.

And if any man [sins,] we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the Righteous. And He is the [atonement] for our sins, & not only for our's, but also for the sins of the whole world.]

O God, You [know] my foolishness; & my sins aren't [hidden] from You. O Lord God of Hosts, [don']t let [those who] wait on You, be ashamed, for my sake. [Don't] let [those who] seek You be [disgraced] for my sake, O God of Israel. [Psalm 22:5 But I am a worm, & no man; a [disgrace] of men, & despised [by] the people.]

*Shame [has] covered My face, because I have [put up with ridicule] for Your sake. [*Matthew 27:41-42 Likewise, the chief priests also [mocked] Him, with the scribes, & elders, & said, He saved others, & He can't save Himself. If He [is] the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, & we will believe Him.]

*I [have] become a stranger to My brethren, & an alien to My mother's children. [*John 7:5 For neither did His [brothers] believe in Him.]

*For the zeal of Your house [has] eaten Me up, & the [criticism] of [those who disgraced] You, are fallen upon Me. [*John 2:13-17 And the Jews' Passover was at hand, & Jesus went up to Jerusalem, & found in the temple those [who] sold: oxen, sheep, & doves & the money changers sitting.

And when He had made a [whip] of small cords, He drove them all out of the temple, & the sheep, & oxen, and poured out the changers' money, & [threw over] the tables; & said to [those who] sold doves, Take these things [from here & don't] make My Father's house, [a] house of merchandise. *And His disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of Your house [has] eaten Me up.]

When I wept, & [chatised] my soul with fasting, that [became] my [criticism.] I also made sackcloth my garment, & I became a proverb, [a.k.a. an example,] to them. [Those who] sit in the gate speak against me; & I was a song [for] the drunkards.

But as for Me, My prayer is to You, O Lord, in an acceptable time. O God, in the multitude of Your mercy hear Me, in the Truth of Your Salvation. [Isaiah 49:8 *The Lord [says this,] I have heard You in an acceptable time, & [on the] Day of Salvation, I have helped You.

And I will preserve You, & give You for a Covenant, [a.k.a. contract, for] the people, to establish the earth, & to cause the desolate heritages to [be] inherited.]

Deliver me out of the [mud,] & [don't] let me sink. Let me be delivered from [those who] hate me, & out of deep waters. [Don't] let the [flooding waters] overflow me. Neither let the deep swallow me up, & [don't] let the pit shut [its] mouth upon me.

[Psalm 40:1-2 I waited patiently for the Lord, & He [leaned His ear] to me, & heard my [out] cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, & out of [muddy] clay, & [put] my feet upon a rock, & established my goings.]

O Lord, hear Me; for Your loving kindness is good. [Return] to Me, according to the multitude of Your tender mercies. And [don't] hide Your face from Your servant; for I am in trouble. [Luke 22:41-45 And when He was at the place, He said to them, Pray that you [don't] enter into temptation. And He was withdrawn from them about a stone's [throw,] & kneeled down, & prayed, saying, Father, if You [are] willing, remove this cup from Me, nevertheless, not My will, but Yours, be done. And there appeared an Angel to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly; & His sweat was [like] it were [large] drops of blood falling down to the ground.] And when He rose up from prayer, & [came] to His disciples, He found them sleeping, [because  of] sorrow.]

Hear Me speedily. Draw [near] to My soul, & redeem it. Deliver Me, because of [My] enemies. You [have] known My: [disgrace,] shame, & dishonor. [My enemies] are all before You. [Matthew 27:27-31 Then, the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, & gathered to Him the whole band of soldiers. And they stripped Him, & put a scarlet robe on Him.

And when they had [woven] a crown of thorns, they put it upon His head, & a reed in His right hand. And they bowed [their knees] before Him, & mocked Him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

And they spit upon Him, & took the reed, & [struck] Him on the head. And after they had mocked Him, they took the robe off from Him, & put His own [clothing] on Him, & led Him away to crucify Him.]

*[Disgrace has] broken My heart; & I am full of heaviness. I looked for [someone] to take pity, but there [were] none; & for comforters, but I found none. [*Mark 15:9-15 But Pilate answered them, saying, Will you [want] that I release to you the King of the Jews? For [Pilate] knew that the chief priests had delivered [Jesus, because of] envy. But the chief priests moved, [a.k.a. pursuaded,] the people, that [Pilaate] should [instead,] release Barabbas to them. And Pilate answered & said again to them, What will you [want] then, that I shall do to Him, Whom you call the King of the Jews? And they cried out again, Crucify Him.

Then, Pilate said to them, Why, what evil [has] He done? And they cried out [even] exceedingly more, Crucify Him. And so, Pilate, willing to [satisfy] the people, released Barabbas to them, & delivered Jesus, [after Pilate] had Him scourged, to be crucified.]

*They also gave Me gall for My meat, [a.k.a. food,] & in My thirst, they gave Me vinegar to drink. [*John 19:28-30 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, [so] that the Scripture might be fulfilled, [said,] I thirst.

Now, there was [put] a vessel full of vinegar, & they filled a [sponge] with vinegar, & put it on hyssop, & put it to His mouth. Therefore, when Jesus had received the vinegar, He said, It is finished. And He bowed His head, & gave up the ghost.]

Let their table become a snare before them, & [what] should have been for their [well-being,] let it become a trap. Let their eyes [become] darkened, [so] that they [can't] see, & make their [waist] continually shake. Pour out Your indignation upon them, & let Your wrathful anger take hold of them.

[Revelation 14:9-10 And the 3rd Angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man [worships] the beast, & his image, & [receives] his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out, without mixture into the cup of His indignation. And he shall be tormented with fire, & brimstone in the presence of the Holy Angels, & in the presence of the Lamb.]

Let their habitation be desolate, & let none [live] in their tents. [Matthew 23:37-39 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you [who kill] the prophets, & stone [those who] are sent to [warn] you. How often I would have gathered your children together, even [like] a hen [gathers] her chickens under her wings, & you would not!

[Look,] your house is left to you desolate. For I say to you, You shall not see Me [after this, until] you shall say, Blessed is He, [Who] comes in the Name of the Lord.]

For they persecute Him, Whom You [have struck,] & they [speak] to the grief of those Whom you have wounded. [Isaiah 53:4-5 *Surely He has borne our griefs, & carried our sorrows. Yet, we [didn't respect] Him, [suffering, struck,] & afflicted [by] God.

*But He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The [punishment] for our peace was upon Him, & we are healed with His stripes, [a.k.a. whip marks.]

Add iniquity to their [sin,] & let them not come into Your righteousness. Let them be blotted out of the Book of the Living, & not be written with the righteous. [Revelation 13:5-9 And there was given to him a mouth speaking great, [a.k.a. arrogant,] things & blasphemies. And power was given to him to continue 42 months.

And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His Name, & His tabernacle, & [those who] dwell in heaven. And it was given to him to make war with the saints, & to overcome them.

And power was given [to] him over all [families,] tongues, & nations. And all whose names are not written, in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain, [since] the foundation of the world, [who] dwell upon the earth, shall worship him.]

But I am poor & sorrowful. Let Your Salvation, O God, [put] me up on high. I will praise the Name of God with a song, & will magnify Him with [giving thanks.] Also, this shall please the Lord better than an ox or [bull,] that [has] horns & [hooves.] [Isaiah 1:11-16 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me? [says] the Lord. I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, & the fat of fed [animals,] & I [don't] delight in the blood of [bulls,] lambs, or [male] goats. Who [has] required this at your [hands,] when you come to appear before Me, to [trample] My [courtyards?] No [longer] bring [worthless offerings.] Incense is [detestable] to Me. The calling of the assemblies [for] the: New Moons, & Sabbaths, I can't [endure.] It is [sinful,] even the solemn [meetings.] My soul [hates] your: New Moons, & your feasts. They are [troublesome] to Me. I am [tired of putting up with] them. And when you spread [out] your hands, I will hide [My] eyes from you. [Yes,] when you make many prayers, I won't hear. Your hands are full of [bloodshed.] Wash [yourselves,] & make [yourself] clean. Put away the evil of your [actions,] from [in front of My] eyes; & [stop doing] [what is:] evil.]

The humble shall see this, & be glad. And [those who] seek God, your heart shall live. [Psalm 22:26 The meek, [a.k.a. humble,] shall eat & be satisfied. [Those who] seek the Lord, shall praise Him. Your heart shall live forever.]

For the Lord [hears] the poor, & [doesn't despise] His prisoners. [Isaiah 61:1 *The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good [news] to the [humble.] He has sent Me to [bandage] up the broken hearted, to proclaim [freedom] to the captives, & the opening of the prison to [those who] are bound.]

Let the heaven & earth, the seas & everything that moves [in them,] praise Him. For God will save Zion, & will [rebuild] the cities of Judah, [so] that they may [live] there, & have it [as a] possession. The seed, [a.k.a. descendants,] of His servants shall inherit it. And [those who] love His Name shall [live in there.]

[Philippians 2:5-11 Let [your] [minds within] you, also be [like that] in Christ Jesus, Who [is] in the [image] of God, & thought it not [a crime] to be equal with God. But made Himself of no reputation, [a.k.a. without status,] & was made in the likeness of men, & took upon [Himself] the [image] of a servant. And being found in [the image like] a man, He humbled Himself, & became obedient [until] death, even the death [on] the cross.*[For this reason,] God [has] also highly exalted Him, & [has] given Him a Name [that] is above every Name. That every knee should bow at the Name of Jesus, of things in heaven, & things [on] earth, & things under the earth. *And [so] that every tongue, [a.k.a. language,] should confess to the glory of God the Father, that Jesus Christ Is Lord.]
