A Psalm or Song of Asaph, to the chief Musician, Altaschith. |
Psalm 75:1-10 Book# 3 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks] |
Unto You, O God, we give thanks. We give thanks unto You, for Your Name is near [so,] that [we] declare Your wondrous works. [Psalm 105:38-41 Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of [the Israelites] fell upon them. |
He spread a cloud for a covering & a fire to give light in the night. The people asked & He brought quails & satisfied them with the bread of heaven. He opened the rock & the waters gushed out. They ran in the dry places like a river.] |
I will judge [fairly,] when I shall receive the congregation. The earth & all [its] inhabitants are dissolved & I [hold] up the pillars of it. Selah. [2 Peter 3:9-10 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, [like] some men [consider] slackness; but is [patient] to us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. |
But the Day of the Lord will come [like] a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise & the elements shall melt with fervent heat & also the earth & the [things made] that are [in there,] shall be burned up.] |
I said to the fools, [Don't behave] foolishly. And to the wicked, [Don't] lift up [your] horn. [Psalm 94:4 How long shall they utter & speak [disrespectful] things? And all the workers of [wickedness] boast [about] themselves?] |
[Don't] lift up your horn on high & [don't] speak with a stiff [stubborn] neck. For [elevated status doesn't] come from the east, west, nor south, but God is the judge. He puts down one & sets up another. |
For in the hand of the Lord, there is a cup & the wine is red. It is full of mixture & He pours out of the same: but all the wicked of the earth shall wring [its] dregs out & drink them. |
[Revelation 14:9-10 And the 3rd Angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man [worships] the beast & his image & [receives] his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation & he shall be tormented with fire & brimstone in the presence of the holy Angels & in the presence of the Lamb.] |
But I will declare & I will sing praises to the God of Jacob, [a.k.a. Israel,] forever. All the horns of the wicked, I will also cut off: but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted. |
