A Psalm for the sons of Korah, to the chief Musician upon Gittith. |
Psalm 84:1-12 Book# 3 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks] |
How [pleasant] Your tabernacles are, O Lord of Hosts! My soul longs, [yes,] even faints for the [Lord's courtyards.] My heart & my [skin] cry out for the Living God. |
[Yes,] the sparrow has found a house & the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even [like] Your altars, O Lord of Hosts, my King & my God. [2 Chronicles 6:5-6 Since the day that I brought [forward] My people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city among all the tribes of Israel to build a house in, [so] My Name might be there. Neither [did] I [choose] any man to be a ruler over My people, Israel. But I have chosen Jerusalem, [so] My Name might be there & I have chosen David to be over My people, Israel.] |
Blessed are [those who] dwell in Your house. They will [continue] praising You. Selah. Blessed is the man, whose strength is in You, in Whose heart are [their pathways.] Who passing through the Valley of Baca, [a.k.a The Valley of Weeping,] make it a well. The rain also fills the pools. |
[Isaiah 41:17-18 When the poor & needy seek water & there's none & their tongue fails for thirst, I, the Lord, will hear them. I, the God of Israel, will not [abandon] them. I will open rivers on high places & fountains in the midst of the valleys. I will make the wilderness a pool of water & the dry land, springs of water.] |
They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appears before God. [Revelation 21:3-4 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, [Look,] the tabernacle of God is with men. And He will [live] with them & they shall be His people. And God, Himself shall be with them & be their God. |
* And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes & there shall be nor more death, neither sorrow, nor crying. Neither shall there be any more pain: for the [previous] things have passed away.] |
O Lord God of Hosts, hear my prayer. [Lean Your] ear [& listen,] O God of Jacob, [a.k.a. Israel.] Selah. [See,] O God our shield & look upon the face of Your anointed. For a day in Your [courtyards] is better than 1,000. I had rather be a door keeper in the house of my God, than to [live] in the tents of wickedness. |
For the Lord God is a sun & a shield. The Lord will give grace & glory. He will [not] withhold [any] good thing from [those who] walk [honestly.] O Lord of Hosts, blessed is the man [who] trusts in You. |
