Psalm 99:1-9 Book# 4 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks] |
The Lord [rules.] Let the people tremble. He sits between the cherubims. Let the earth be moved. [Exodus 25:22 From above the mercy seat, from between the 2 cherubims [that] are upon the Ark of the Testimony, I will meet with you there & I will [talk] with you [about] all things [that] I will give you in [commandments] to the children [people] of Israel.] |
The Lord is great in Zion & He is [exalted] above all the people. Let them praise Your great & [terribly awesome] Name; for it is Holy. The king's strength also loves judgment. You [established] equity & You [carry out justice] & righteousness in Jacob, [a.k.a. Israel.] |
You, exalt the Lord your God & worship at His footstool; for He is Holy. Moses, Aaron & Samuel [are] among His priests, [who called] upon His Name. They called upon the Lord & He answered them. |
[1 Samuel 7:8-10 And the children of Israel said to Samuel, [Don't stop crying out] to the Lord our God for us, [so] that He will save us [from] out of the hand of the Philistines. And Samuel took a [suckling] lamb & offered it for a burnt offering [totally] to the Lord & Samuel cried [out] to the Lord for Israel. |
And the Lord heard him. And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel. But the Lord thundered on the Philistines with a great thunder that day & [defeated the Philistines] & they were [struck down before Israel.] |
He [spoke] to them in the cloudy pillar. They kept His testimonies & His [mandates] that He gave them. [Exodus 19:17-20 And Moses brought [forward] the people out of the camp to meet with God & they stood at the [lowest] part of the [mountain.] |
And Mount Sinai was [totally smoking,] because the Lord descended upon it in fire. And the smoke [of it went up like] the smoke of a furnace & the whole [mountain] quaked greatly. |
And when the long sound [of the] trumpet sounded & [grew] louder & louder, Moses [spoke] & God answered him by a voice. And the Lord came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the [mountain] & Moses went up.] |
You answered them, O Lord our God. You [were] a God, [Who] forgave them, though You took vengeance [on their evil deeds.] [Exodus 32:21-24 And Moses said to Aaron, What did this people [do] to you that you have brought so great a sin upon them? Aaron said, [Don't] let the anger of my lord [grow] hot. |
You know the people, that they are set on [evil.] For they said to me, Make us gods, [that] shall go before us: as for Moses, we [don't know] what [has] become of him. And I said to them, [Whoever] has any gold, let them break it off. So they gave it [to] me. Then, I cast it into the fire & this calf came out there.] |
Exalt the Lord our God & worship at His Holy hill; for the Lord our God is Holy. |
