Psalm 129:1-8 Book# 5 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks] |
They have afflicted me from my youth, many [times.] May Israel now say: Many a time, they have afflicted me from my youth: yet they haven't prevailed against me. [2 Corinthians 7:4-5 Great is my boldness [I speak] toward You. |
I am filled with comfort & I'm exceedingly joyful, [despite] all our tribulation. For when we [came] into Macedonia, our [bodies] had no rest, but we were troubled on every side. [Outside was fighting & inside] were fears.] |
[Those who plow] plowed upon my back. They made their furrows long. The Lord is righteous & can cut [to pieces] the [whip] cords of the wicked. [Isaiah 51:22-23 The Lord says [this,] The Lord your God, [Who] pleads the [case] of His people, [Look,] I have taken your hand out of the cup of trembling, even the [scum] of the cup of My fury & you shall no [longer] drink it again. |
But I will put [the cup of My fury] into the hand of [those who] afflict you, [who] have said to your soul, Bow down, [so] that we may go over [you.] And you have laid your body [like it's] the ground & [like] the street, to [those who] went over.] |
Let all [those who] hate Zion be [confused] & turned back. Let them be [like] the grass upon the housetops, [that] withers [before] it grows up: [by which] the mower [doesn't] fill [up] his hand; nor [does] he [who] binds [fill up his arms with harvested] sheaves. |
Neither do [those who] go by say, [May] the [blessings] of the Lord be upon you. We bless you in the Name of the Lord. |
