Those, Who Harm the: Needy, Poor, Widows & Fatherless |
Isaiah 10:1-34 The Book of Isaiah [in Smaller Chunks] |
[Distress for those, who declare,] write & [prescribe] unrighteous [& grievous orders;] to [deprive] the needy from [fair] judgment & to take away [what is] right from the poor of My people, [so] that widows may be their prey & they may rob the fatherless! |
And what will you do [on] the day of visitation, [when] desolation [comes] from far [away?] To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory? Without Me, they shall bow down under the prisoners & they shall fall under [those killed.] [Because of] all this, His anger isn't turned away, but His hand is still [outstretched.] |
[Isaiah 24:21-22 And it shall [happen on] that day, that the Lord shall punish the host of [heaven] that are on high & the kings of earth, upon the earth. And they shall be gathered together, [like] prisoners are gathered in the pit. And shall be shut up in the prison & after many days, they shall be visited, [a.k.a. punished.] |
O Assyrian, the rod of [My] anger & the staff in their hand, is [My] indignation. [Jeremiah 51:20 You are My battle ax & weapons of war. For with you, I will break in pieces the nations & destroy kingdoms.] |
I will send him against a hypocritical nation & I will [put] him [in] charge against the people of My [anger,] to take the [plunder] & the [prize] & to [trample] them down like the [mud] of the streets. |
[2 Kings 17:6-8 [During] the 9th year of Hoshea, [Assyria's] king [captured] Samaia & carried away Israel into Assyria & placed them in Hallah & in Habor, by the Gozan River & in the cities of the Medes. |
For it was so, that the children [people] of Israel had sinned against the Lord their God, [Who] had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh, [Egypt's] king & had feared [respected] other gods, which they had made & [followed] in the [mandates] of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out from before the children [people] of Israel & the kings of Israel.] |
[All the same,] he [didn't plan this,] neither does his heart [intend this;] but it's [on] his heart to destroy & cut off [many] nations. For [God] says, Aren't My princes, [all] kings? Isn't Calno [like] Carchemish? Isn't Hamath [like] Arpad? Isn't Samaria [like] Damascus? |
As My hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, whose [carved] images [exceeded those] of Jerusalem & Samaria, [shouldn't] I have done to Samaria & her idols, [the same] to Jeusalem & her idols? |
[For this reason,] it shall [happen,] that when the Lord has [accomplished] His whole work upon Mount Zion & on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit, [a.k.a. offspring,] of the stout-[hearted] king of Assyria & the glory of his [arrogant] looks. |
For he says, By my wisdom & the strength of my hand, I have done it. For I am [shrewd] & I have removed the [boundaries, a.k.a. landmarks] of the people & have robbed their treasures. [2 Kings 18:14-16 And king Hezekiah of Judah sent to Lachish, [Assyria's] king, saying, I have offended [you.] |
[Turn away] from me, [so] that [what] you put on me, I will [endure.] And [Assyria's] king, [charged] king Hezekiah of Judah, 300 talents of silver & 30 talents of gold. And Hezekiah gave [Assyria's king,] all the silver & gold found in the [Lord's] house & the treasures of the king's house. |
At that time, Hezekiah cut off the gold from the doors of the [Lord's] temple & from the pillars [that] Hezekiah, [Judah's] king, overlaid & gave it to [Assyria's] king.] |
And I have put down the [residents] like a valiant man. And my hand has found the riches of the people, [like] a nest & [like someone] gathers eggs that are left. I have gathered all the earth & there [were] none that moved [its] wing, opened [its] mouth, or [chirped.] |
Shall the ax boast itself against [the lumberman, who chops] with [it?] Or shall the saw [elevate] himself against him, [who] shakes it [moving the saw back & forth?] As if the rod should shake itself against [those who] lift it up, |
Or as if the staff should lift itself up, as if it [weren’t] wood. Therefore, the Lord, the Lord of Hosts, [sent] among His fat ones, leanness. And under His glory, He shall kindle a burning, like the burning of a fire. |
[Isaiah 37:33-37 Therefore, the Lord says [this about Assyria's] king, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come [in front of] it with shields, nor [put up an embankment] against it. By the [road] that he came, he shall return & shall not come into this city, says the Lord. |
For I will defend this city, to save it for [My] Own sake & for the sake of David, My servant. Then, the Angel of the Lord went [out] & [killed] 185,000 in the [Assyrian's] camp. And when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.] |
And the Light of Israel shall be for a fire & His Holy One for a flame. [Isaiah 60:19 The sun shall no [longer be] your light by day, neither shall the moon give light to you for brightness. But the Lord shall be to you an everlasting Light & your God & your glory.] |
And it shall burn & devour [its thorn & sticker patches, all] in one day & shall consume, both the soul & the body & the glory of His forest & His fruitful field. And they shall be [like] when a [flag] bearer faints. And the rest of the trees shall be few, that a child [could] write [the number of] them. |
And it shall [happen on] that day, that the [rest] of Israel & [those] of Jacob's house, [who have] escaped, shall no [longer depend] upon him, [who struck] them [down,] but shall [depend] upon the Lord, in truth, the Holy One of Israel. |
The [rest] shall return to the mighty God, even [the remaining] of Jacob. For [although] Your people, Israel [are many, like] the sand of the sea, [still] a remnant of them shall return. The [destruction] decreed, shall overflow [them,] with righteousness. |
[Romans 9:27-28 [Isaiah] also [cried out about] Israel, Though the number of the children [people] of Israel [are like] the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved. For He will finish the work & cut it short in righteousness: because the Lord will make [it] a short work upon the earth.] |
For the Lord God of Hosts, shall make a [destruction,] even a [planned destruction,] in the midst of all the land. Therefore, the Lord God of Hosts says this, O My people [who] dwell in Zion. [Don't] be afraid of the Assyrian. He shall [strike] you with a rod & shall lift up his staff against you, after the [custom] of Egypt. |
For a little while [still,] the indignation & [My] anger shall cease in their destruction. And the Lord of Hosts shall stir up a [whip] for him, according to the slaughter of Midian at the Rock of Oreb, [like] His rod was upon the sea, so shall He lift it up, after the [custom] of Egypt. |
[Judges 7:25 And they took 2 princes of the Midianites, Oreb & Zeeb. And they [killed] Oreb & they [killed] Zeeb at the [wine press] of Zeeb & pursued Midian. And brought the heads of Oreb & Zeeb to Gideon, on the other side [of] Jordan.] |
And it shall [happen on] that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off your shoulder & his yoke from off your neck. And the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing [oil.] |
[He has] come to Aiath & he [has] passed [on] to Migrom. [Isaiah 36:1 Now it [happened on] the 14th year of king Hezekiah, that Sennacherib, [Assyria's] king, came up against all the [fortified] cities of Judah & [captured them.] |
At Michmash, he [stored] his carriages. They [have] gone over the passage. They have taken lodging at Geba & Ramah is afraid. Gibeah of Saul, [has] fled. Lift up your voice, O daughter of Gallim & [allow,] O poor Anathoth, to be heard [all the way] to Laish. |
Madmenah is removed & the [residents] of Gebim gather themselves [together] to flee. [Yet,] he [remained] at Nob that day. He shall shake his hand against the Mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem. |
[1 Samuel 22:18-19 And the king said to Doeg, You turn & fall upon the priests. And Doeg, the Edomite, turned & he fell upon the priests & [killed] on that day 85 people, [who] wore a linen ephod. And he [struck down] Nob, the city of the priests, with the edge of the sword, both men & women, children, [the nursing,] oxen, [mules] & sheep, with the edge of the sword.] |
[See,] the Lord, the Lord of Hosts, shall lop [off] the bough with terror & the high ones of stature, shall be [cut] down & the [arrogant] shall be humbled. And He shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron & Lebanon shall fall by a Mighty One. |
