About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

Isaiah 17:1-14 The Vision of Damascus

The Vision of Damascus

Isaiah 17:1-14                                The Book of Isaiah [in Smaller Chunks]

The burden, [a.k.a. vision] of Damascus. [Look,] Damascus is taken away from being a city & it shall be a ruinous heap. [Jeremiah 23:13-16 I have seen [foolishness] in [Samaria's] prophets. They prophesied in Baal & caused My people to [go astray.]

I have also seen in [Jerusalem's] prophets a horrible thing. They commit adultery & [follow] [what are] lies. They also strengthen the hands of [those who do evil, so] that none returns from his wickedness. They are all of them [like] Sodom & the [residents of] Gomorrah to Me.

Therefore, the Lord of Hosts says [this about] the prophets; I will feed them with wormwood & make them drink the water of gall. [Ungodliness] has gone out from [Jerusalem's] prophets, into all the land.

The Lord of Hosts says [this,] [Don't listen] to the words of the prophets, [who] prophesy to you. They make you vain & they speak a vision [from] their own heart & not out of the mouth of the Lord.]

The cities of Aroer are [abandoned] & they shall be for flocks [that] shall lie down & none shall make them afraid. Also, the fortress shall cease from Ephraim & the kingdom from Damascus & the [rest] of Syria. They shall be [like] the glory of the children [people] of Israel, says the Lord of Hosts.

[Isaiah 8:4 For before the child shall have knowledge to cry [out,] My father & my mother, the riches of Damascus & the [plunder] of Samaria shall be taken away [in front of] the king of Assyria.]

And [on] that day, it shall [happen,] that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin & the [plumpness] of his flesh, shall [grow] lean. And it shall [happen like,] when the [harvesters gather] the corn & reap the [corn] ears with his arm & it shall be [like] when he [who] gathers ears in the Valley of Rephaim.

[Revelation 14:18-19 And another Angel came out from the altar, [who] had power over fire & [cried out] with a loud [outcry to those who] had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in your sharp sickle & gather the clusters of the vine [from] the earth: for her grapes are fully ripe. And the Angel thrust in his sickle into the earth & gathered the vine [from] the earth & cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.]

Yet, grapes [for] gleaning shall be left in it, [like] the shaking of an olive tree & 2 or 3 berries [are left] in the [highest] bough & 4 or 5 in the [outer] fruitful branches of it, says the Lord God of Israel.

[Obadiah 5: If thieves & robbers came to you [at] night, ([Oh,] how you are cut off!) Wouldn't they have stolen, [until] they had enough? If the grape gatherers came, wouldn't they leave some grapes?]

[On] that day, a man shall look to his Maker & his eyes shall have respect [for] the Holy One of Israel. And he shall not look to the altars & the work of his hands, neither shall [he] respect [what] his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images. [Isaiah 31:7 For [on] that day, every man shall [throw] away his idols of silver & his idols of gold, which your own hands have made to you, for a sin.]

[On] that day, his [fortified] cities shall be [like an abandoned] bough & the [highest] branch, which they left, because of the children [people] of Israel & there shall be [emptiness.] Because you have forgotten the God of your Salvation & haven't been mindful of the Rock of your strength.

[Isaiah 51:12-13 I, even I, Am He, [Who] comforts you. Who are you, that you should be afraid of a man, [who] shall die & the son of man, [who] shall be made [like] grass & forget the Lord, your Maker, [Who] stretched [out] the heavens & laid the foundations of the earth & [you] have [been afraid] continually every day, because of the fury of the oppressor, [like] he [was] ready to destroy? And where is the fury of the oppressor?]

Therefore, you shall plant pleasant plants & shall [put] it with strange [seedlings.] [On] the day, you make your plant [able] to grow & in the morning, you shall make your seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a [ruinous] heap, [on] the day of grief & [hopeless] sorrow.

[Distress for] the multitude of many people, [who] make a noise, like the [sound] of the seas & to make the [roaring] of nations, that make a [roaring] like the [roaring] of mighty waters! [Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in: the sun, the moon, the stars & upon the distressed nations of the earth, with [astonishment.] The sea & the waves roaring.

The nations shall [roar] like the [roaring] of many waters; but God shall [reprimand] them & they shall flee far [away] & shall be chased [like stubble in front of the wind] of the mountains & like [something] rolling [in front of a tornado.] And [look,] at [twilight,] trouble & before morning, [he is no more.] This is the portion of [those who plunder] us & the lot of [those who] rob us.
