Isaiah's Word on God's Behalf to Judah & Jerusalem

Isaiah 2:1-22                                The Book of Isaiah [in Smaller Chunks]

The word [about] Judah & Jerusalem, that Isaiah, the son of Amoz, saw. *And it shall [happen,] in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established [on] the top of the mountains, & shall be exalted above the hills. And all nations shall [stream] to it. [Revelation 21:22-27 *And I saw no Temple [in there.] For the Lord God Almighty, & the Lamb are the Temple of it. *And the city had no need of the sun, & neither of the moon, to shine in it. For the glory of God did [enlighten] it, & the Lamb is the Light [of it.] And [those] nations [who] are saved, shall walk in the light of it. And the kings of the earth, [bring] their glory & [honor] into it. And [its] gates shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the glory, & [honor] of the nations into it. And in no [ways,] shall there enter into it anything that [defiles,] & neither [whatever works] [an] abomination, or [makes] [up] [lies;] but [only] [those, who] are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.]

*And many people shall go & say, You come, & let's go up to the [Lord's] mountain, to the house of the God, of Jacob, [a.k.a. Israel.] And He will teach us [about] His ways, & we will walk, [a.k.a. follow.] in His paths. For the Law shall go [forward] out of Zion, & the Word of the Lord, [shall go forward] from Jerusalem.

And He shall judge among the nations, & shall [warn] many people: & they shall beat their swords into [blades for plows,] & their spears into pruning-hooks] Nation shall not lift up [swords] against nation. Neither shall they learn [how to] war anymore.

O house of Jacob, [a.k.a. Israel,] you, come, & let's [follow] in the LIght of the Lord. Therefore, You have [abandoned] Your people, the house of Jacob, because they [are] replenished from the East, & are soothsayers, [a.k.a. diviners,] like the Philistines. [Deuteronomy 18:14 For these nations, [that] you [shall] possess, [pay attention] to observers of times, [a.k.a. astrologists,] & diviners. But as for you, the Lord your God, [hasn't allowed] you to do so.]

And they please themselves in the children of strangers. [Judges 3:5-7 And the children, [a.k.a. people,] of Israel [lived] among the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, & Jebusites. And they took their daughters to be their wives, & gave their daughters to their sons, & served their gods. And the [people] of Israel did [what is:] evil in the sight of the Lord, & [forgot] the Lord their God, & served Baalim, & the groves.]

Their land is also full of silver & gold. Neither is there any end of their treasures. Their land is also full of horses, & neither is there any end of their chariots. [Psalm 20:7 Some trust in chariots, & some [trust] in horses: but we will remember the Name of the Lord our God.]

Their land is also full of idols. They worship the work [made] [from] their own hands, which their own fingers have made. [Psalm 115:4-9 Their idols are silver & gold, the work of men's hands. They have mouths, but they [can't] speak. They have eyes, but they [can't] see. They have ears, but they [can't] hear. They have noses, but they [can't] smell. They have hands, but they [can't feel.] They have feet, but they [can't] walk. Neither [do] they speak through their throat. [Those who] make them are [similar] to them. So is everyone, [who] trusts in them. O Israel, you trust in the Lord. He is their help & their shield.]

And the [average] man [with low status] [bows] down, & the great man [with high status] [humbles] himself. [Exodus 20:5 You [shall] not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, Am a Jealous God, visiting the [sins] of the fathers upon the children [until] the 3rd & 4th generation of [those who] hate Me.]

Therefore, [don't] forgive them. [Go] into the rock, & hide [yourself] in the dust, [a.k.a. dirt,] for fear of the Lord, & for the glory of His Majesty. [Revelation 6:15-17 And: the kings, the great men, the rich men, the [important leaders,] & the mighty men, of the earth, & every [man in bondage,] & every free man, hid themselves in the dens, & in the rocks of the mountains; and said to the mountains & rocks, Fall on us, & hide us from the face of Him, [Who sits] on the throne, & from the wrath of the Lamb. For the great day of His wrath [has] come, & who shall be able to stand.]

The [arrogant] looks of man, shall be humbled, & the haughtiness of men, [a.k.a. looking down on others,] shall be bowed down. And the Lord, Alone, shall be exalted [on] that day. [Philippians 2:5-11 Let [your] [minds within] you, also be [like that] in Christ Jesus, Who [is] in the [image] of God, & thought it not [a crime] to be equal with God. But made Himself of no reputation, [a.k.a. without status,] & was made in the likeness of men, & took upon [Himself] the [image] of a servant. And being found in [the image like] a man, He humbled Himself, & became obedient [until] death, even the death [on] the cross. *[For this reason,] God [has] also highly exalted Him, & [has] given Him a Name [that] is above every Name. That every knee should bow at the Name of Jesus, of things in heaven, & things [on] earth, & things under the earth. *And [so] that every tongue, [a.k.a. language,] should confess to the glory of God the Father, that Jesus Christ Is Lord.]

For the day of the Lord of Hosts, shall be upon everyone, [who] is proud & lofty, [a.k.a. conceited.] And upon everyone, [who] is lifted up; he shall be brought low. [Proverbs 16:5-6 Everyone [who has] proud [hearts,] is an abomination to the Lord. [Although] hand [joins] in hand, he shall not be unpunished. By mercy & Truth [sinfulness] is purged, [a.k.a. cleansed,] & by the fear, [a.k.a. respect,] of the Lord, men depart from evil.]

And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high & lifted up, & upon all the oaks of Bashan. [Zechariah 11:1-2 Open your doors, O Lebanon, [so] that the fire may devour your cedars. Fir trees, howl, for the cedar [has] fallen, because the mighty are [plundered.] Howl, O you oaks of Bashan, for the forest of the [vineyard has] come down.

And upon all the high mountains, & all the hills that are lifted up, & upon every high tower, & upon every fenced wall. [Isaiah 30:25 And there shall be upon every: high mountain, every high hill, rivers & streams of [water on] the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.]

And upon all the ships of Tarshish, & upon all pleasant pictures. [2 Chronicles 20:35-37 And after this, Jehoshaphat, [Judah's] king, [joined] himself with king Ahaziah, of Israel, who did very wickedly. And [Jehoshaphat] joined himself with [Ahaziah] to make ships to go to Tarshish. And they made the ships in Ezion Gaber. Then, Eliezer, the son of Dodavah [from] Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because you [have] joined yourself with Ahaziah, the Lord [has] broken your works. And the ships were broken, [so] that they were not able to go to Tarshish.]

And the [pride] of man shall be bowed down, & the [arrogance] of men shall be made low. And the Lord, alone, shall be exalted [on] that day. [Psalm 34:3 O magnify the Lord with me, & let us exalt His Name together.]

And He shall [totally] abolish, [a.k.a. put an end to,] the idols. [Jeremiah 11:11-13 Therefore, the Lord [says this, Watch,] I will bring [calamity] upon them, [that] they shall not be able to escape. And [although] they shall cry [out] to Me, I won't [pay attention] to them. Then the cities of Judah, & the inhabitants of Jerusalem, shall go, & cry [out] to the gods, to whom they offer incense. But they shall not save them at all in their time of trouble. O Judah, for your gods were according to the number of your cities. And you have set up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense to Baal, according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem.]

And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, & into the caves of the earth, for fear of the Lord, & for the glory of His majesty, when He arises to shake the earth terribly. [Revelation 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, & the Ark of His Testament, [a.k.a. Covenant,] was seen there in His temple. And there [was: lightning;] voices; [thundering;] an earthquake; & [large] hail.]

[On] that day, a man shall [throw away] to the moles, & bats, his idols of silver, & his idols of gold, which they each one made for himself to worship.

[And shall] go into the clefts of the rocks, & into the tops of the [jagged] rocks, for fear of the Lord, & for the glory of His Majesty, when He [arises] to terribly shake the earth. [Revelation 6:12-14 And I [saw] when he had opened the 6th seal, & [looked,] & there was a [large] earthquake. And the sun became black [like] sackcloth [from] [goats'] hair, & the moon became [like] blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, even [like] a fig tree [casts its unripened] figs, when [it] is shaken [by] a mighty wind. And the heaven departed [like] a scroll when it is rolled together. And every mountain & island were [removed] out of their places.]

[Stop yourselves] from [trusting in] man, whose breath is in his nostrils: [in what] is he to be [considered?] [Psalm 146:3-4 [Don't] put your trust in princes, nor in [a human,] in whom there is no help. His breath [goes out,] & he returns to his [ground; & on] that very day, his thoughts perish.]
