The Lord God Tells King Cyrus, He Will Be with Him

Isaiah 45:1-25                                The Book of Isaiah [in Smaller Chunks]

The Lord [says this,] to Cyrus, His anointed, whose right hand I have [held,] to [bring] nations [under his control] before him. And I will [loosen] [the belt] on the [waist] of kings, & to open  the 2 [hinged] gates, before [Cyrus,] & the gates shall not be shut. [Isaiah 44:28 [Who says] of Cyrus, He is My shepherd, & shall [do] all My pleasure. [He] even [says] to Jerusalem, You [shall] be [rebuilt,] & to the temple, Your foundation shall be [relaid.]

I will go before you, & make the crooked places straight.I will break [into] pieces the brass gates, & cut in [pieces] the [gates'] iron bars. And [so] that you [may] know that I, the Lord, [Who calls] you by your name, Am the God of Israel. I will give you the treasures of darkness, & hidden riches [from] secret places.  [Psalm 78:2-4 *I will open My mouth in a parable. I will utter dark sayings of old; which we have heard & known, & our [forefathers] have told us. We won't hide them from their children, [declaring] to the generation to come, the praises of the Lord, His strength, & His wonderful works, [a.k.a. miracles,] that He [has] done.]

For Jacob, My servant's sake, & Israel, [My chosen,] I have even called you by your name. I have surnamed you, [although] you [haven't] known Me. I Am the Lord, & there is none else. There is no God [besides] Me. I [clothed] you, [although] you [haven't] known Me. [So,] that from the [sunrise,] & from the West, they may know that there is none [besides] Me.

I Am the Lord, & there is none else. I [formed] the light, & [created] darkness. [Genesis 1:2-5 And the earth was without form, & void. And darkness was upon the [surface] of the deep. And the [Holy] Spirit of God moved upon the [surface] of the waters.

And God said, Let there be light, & there was light. And God saw the light, & that it was good. And God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, & the darkness He called Night. And the evening, & the morning were the first day.]

I make peace, & create evil, [a.k.a. calamity.] I, the Lord, do all these things. [Ecclesiastes 9:2 All things come, [a.k.a. happen,] alike to all. There is one event: to the righteous, & to the wicked; to the good & to the clean, [a.k.a. pure,] & to the unclean; to him [who sacrifices,] & to him [who doesn't sacrifice.] [Like] [what] is [done to] the good, [also] is [done to] the sinner; & he [who swears] [an oath,] & he [who is afraid] [to swear] an oath.]

You heavens, drop down [rain,] from above, & let the skies pour down righteousness, & let them bring forth Salvation. Let the earth open, & let righteousness [sprout] up together. I, the Lord, have created it. [Romans 10:9-13 That if you [shall] confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth, & [shall] believe in your heart that God [has] raised Him from the dead, you [shall] be saved. For with the heart, man believes [that leads] to righteousness, & with the mouth, confession is made [that leads] to Salvation. For the Scripture [says, Whoever believes in] Him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew & the Greek, [a.k.a. Gentile:] for the same Lord over all is rich unto all [who] call upon Him. For [whoever] shall call upon the Name of the Lord, shall be saved.]

Woe, [a.k.a. Distress,] to those who argue] with his Maker! Let the [shard of a broken clay pot argue] with the [pot shards] of the earth. Shall the clay [pot shard] say to him, [who formed] it, What [are] you [making?] Or [shall] your work [say,] He [has] no hands? [Romans 9:20-21 [No,] but who [are] you, O man, who [speaks] against God? Shall the thing formed say to him, [Who] formed it, Why [have] You made Me [like this?] Hasn't the potter power over the same lump of clay, to make one vessel to [honor,] & another to [dishonor?]

[Distress] to him [who says] to his father, What [do] you [beget, a.k.a. father?] Or to the woman, What [have] you [delivered?] The Lord, the Holy One of Israel, & his Maker, [says this,] Ask Me [about] things to [happen] concerning My sons, & you command Me [about] the work of My hands. [Isaiah 60:20-21 Your sun shall no [longer] go down; & neither shall your moon withdraw itself. For the Lord shall be your Everlasting Light, the days of your mourning shall be ended. Your people, the branch of My planting, & the work of My hands, shall also all be righteous. They shall inherit the land forever, [so] that I may be glorified.]

I have made the earth, & have created man upon it. I, even My hands, have stretched out the heavens, & I have commanded all their host, [a.k.a. stars & constellations.]

[Genesis 1:14-19 And God said, Let there be light in the firmament of the heaven, to divide the day from the night. And let them be for: signs, & seasons, & for days. And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven, to give light upon the earth; & it was so. And God made 2 [enormous] lights; the [larger] light to rule the day, & the lesser light to rule the night. He also made the stars. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, & to rule over the day, & over the night. And to divide the light from the darkness; & God saw that it was good.And the evening & the morning were the 4th day.]

I have raised [Cyrus] up in righteousness, & I will direct all his ways. He shall [rebuild] My city, & he shall [release] My captives, not for [a] price, nor reward, [says] the Lord of Hosts. The Lord [says this, Egypt's labor,] & the merchandise of Ethiopia, & the Sabeans, [tall] men, shall come over to you, & they shall be yours.

They shall come after you. They shall come over in chains, & they shall fall down to you. They shall make [requests] to you, saying, Surely God is in you, & there is none else, there is no [other] God. [Joel 2:27 And you shall know that I Am in the midst of Israel, & that I Am the Lord your God, & none else. And My people shall never be ashamed.]

[Truly, You [are] a God, [Who hides] Yourself, O God of Israel, the [Savior.] They shall all of them be ashamed, & also confused. [Those] [who] are makers of idols, shall [be confused] together. But Israel shall be saved [by] the Lord, with an Everlasting Salvation. You shall not be ashamed, nor [confused,] world without end.

For the Lord, [Who] created the heavens, [says this;] God, [Who] Himself formed the earth, & made it; He [has] [also] established it. He [didn't create] it in vain. He formed it to be inhabited. I Am the Lord; & there is none else. I haven't spoken in secret, dark, [hidden] places of the earth. [Acts 17:24-26 God, [Who] made the world, & all things [in it;] seeing that He is Lord of heaven, & earth, & [doesn't dwell] in temples made with hands. Neither is [He] worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, [since] He [gives:] life, & breath, & all things, to all. And [has] made all nations of men, of one blood, to dwell on the [surface] of the earth, & [has previously] determined the times appointed, & the [boundaries] of their habitation.]

I [didn't say] to the seed, [a.k.a. descendants,] of Jacob, Seek Me in vain. I, the Lord, speak in righteousness. I declare things that are right, [a.k.a. correct.] Assemble yourselves, come, & draw near together, [so] you, [who have] escaped [from] the nations.

[Those who put] up the wood of their [carved] image have no knowledge, & pray to a god that can't save [them.] [Psalm 115:4-9 Their idols are silver & gold, the work of men's hands. They have mouths, but they [don't] speak. They have eyes, but they [don't] see. They have ears, but they [don't] hear. They have noses, but they [don't] smell. They have hands, but they [don't touch.] They have feet, but they [can't] walk. Neither can they speak through their throat. [Those who] make them are [similar] to them, so is everyone who [trusts] in them. O Israel, you, trust in the Lord. He is their help & their shield.]

You tell [them,] & bring them near. [Yes,] let them [consult] together. Who [has] declared this from ancient [times?] Who [has] told it from that time? Haven't I, the Lord? And there [isn't any] [other] God, [besides] Me. A just, [a.k.a. fair,] God, & a [Savior.] There is none [besides] Me. [Isaiah 46:9-10 Remember the [previous] things of old. For I Am God, & there is none else; I Am God, & there is none like Me, declaring: the end from the beginning, & the things that aren't done yet, from ancient times, saying, My counsel shall stand, & I will do all My pleasure.]

Look to Me, all the ends of the earth, & you be saved. [Acts 2:21-24 And it shall [happen,] that [whoever] shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved. *You men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man among you, approved [by] God, as you, yourselves also know by: miracles, wonders, & signs, which God did by Him in the midst of you. Him being delivered by the [conclusive] counsel, & [God's] [omniscient] foreknowledge, you have taken, & by wicked hands have crucified & [killed,] Whom God [has] raised up, having [loosened, a.k.a. not confined, to] the pains of death; because it was not possible that He should be [held by] it.]

For I Am God, & there is none else. *I have sworn by Myself, the Word [has] gone out of My mouth in righteousness, & shall not return. [So] that every knee shall bow [down,] & every tongue shall swear to Me. [Philippians 2:5-11 Let [your] [minds within] you, also be [like that] in Christ Jesus, Who [is] in the [image] of God, & thought it not [a crime] to be equal with God. But made Himself of no reputation, [a.k.a. without status,] & was made in the likeness of men, & took upon [Himself] the [image] of a servant. And being found in [the image like] a man, He humbled Himself, & became obedient [until] death, even the death [on] the cross.*[For this reason,] God [has] also highly exalted Him, & [has] given Him a Name [that] is above every Name. That every knee should bow at the Name of Jesus, of things in heaven, & things [on] earth, & things under the earth. *And [so] that every tongue, [a.k.a. language,] should confess to the glory of God the Father, that Jesus Christ Is Lord.]

Surely, [someone] shall say, I have righteousness & strength in the Lord. Even men shall come to Him, & all [who] are [enraged] against Him, shall be ashamed. All the [descendants] of Israel shall [boast,] & be justified in the Lord.
