The Lord says, I Will Comfort You in Jerusalem |
Isaiah 66:1-24 The Book of Isaiah [in Smaller Chunks] |
The Lord says [this,] The heaven is My throne & the earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you build to Me? And where is My [resting] place? For My hand made all those things & all those things [exist,] says the Lord. |
But I will look to this man, even to him, [who] is poor & of a [repentant] spirit & trembles at My Word. He, [who] kills an ox is, as if he [killed] a man. He [who] sacrifices a lamb [is,] as if he cut off a dog's neck. He, [who] offers an [offering] [is,] as if he offered swine's blood. He, [who] burns incense [is,] as if he blessed an idol. |
[Yes,] they have chosen their own ways & their soul delights in their abominations. [2 Kings 21:5-7 And he built altars for all the [stars & constellations] of heaven in the 2 [courtyards] of the [Lord's] house. And he made his son pass through the fire & observed times, [a.k.a. astrology or horoscopes,] used enchantments & dealt with familiar spirits, [a.k.a. talking with the dead] & wizards. |
He [brought about] much wickedness in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger. And he [put a carved] image [in] the grove, that he had made in the [Lord's] house, of which the Lord said to David & to Solomon, his son, I will put My Name in this house & in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, forever.] |
I will also choose their delusions & will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none [answered.] When I [spoke,] they didn't hear. But they did evil [in front of My] eyes & chose [what] I [didn't delight in.] Hear the Word of the Lord, you, [who] tremble at His Word. |
Your brethren, [who] hated you & cast you out for My Name's sake, said, Let the Lord be glorified: but to your joy, He shall appear & they shall be ashamed. A [sound] of noise from the city & from the temple, [the] voice of the Lord, [Who gives repayment] to His enemies. |
She [gave birth,] before she [was in labor] & before her pain came, she [had] delivered a [male] child. Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to [give birth] in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion [labored,] she [gave birth to] her children. |
[Isaiah 49:20-23 After you have lost the [others,] the children [that] you shall have, shall again say in your ears, The place is too [small] for me. Give me [a] place that I may [live.] Then you shall say in your heart, Who has [delivered] these [for] me, seeing I have lost my children & am desolate, a captive, [wandering] to & fro? And who has [raised] these? |
[Look,] I was left alone & where had these been? The Lord God says [this,] I will lift up [My] hand to the Gentiles & [put] up a [banner for] the people. And they shall bring your [orphaned] sons in their arms & your daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders. |
And kings shall be your [foster fathers] & their queens shall be your [foster mothers.] They shall bow down to you [facing the ground] & lick the dust [off] your feet & you shall know that I Am the Lord: for they shall not be ashamed, [who] wait for Me.] |
The Lord says, Shall I bring to the [time of] birth & not [produce delivery as a result?] Your God says, Shall I [produce delivery] & shut the womb? [Isaiah 55:11 So My Word shall be that goes [forward] out of My mouth. It shall not return to Me [ineffective,] but shall accomplish [what] I please & it shall [benefit] in the thing, [for which] I sent it.] |
You rejoice with Jerusalem & be glad with her, all you, [who] love her. Rejoice for joy with her, all you, [who] mourn for her. That you may [nurse] & be satisfied with the [comfort] of her breasts; [so] that you may [drink deeply] & be delighted with the abundance of her glory. |
For the Lord says [this, Look,] I will extend peace to her like a river & the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing steam. Then, you shall [nurse] & shall be [carried] [straddled] upon her sides & be [bounced] upon her knees. |
So, I will comfort you, [like] one whom his mother comforts & you shall be comforted in Jerusalem. And when you see this, your heart shall rejoice & your bones shall flourish like [plants] & the hand of the Lord shall be known to His servants & to His enemies: His indignation. |
For, [look,] the Lord will come with fire & with His chariots like a whirlwind, to [give] His anger with fury & His [scolding] with flames of fire. For by His sword & by fire, the Lord will plead with all [people]. And the slain of the Lord shall be many. |
[2 Thessalonians 1:6-8 [Since] it's a righteous thing with God to [repay] tribulation to [those who troubled] you. And to you who are troubled, rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire, taking vengeance on [those who don't] know God & [don't] obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.] |
They, [who] sanctify & purify themselves in the gardens behind 1 tree in the [middle,] eating swine's flesh & [what is detestable] & the mouse. The Lord says, They shall be consumed together. For I know their [deeds] & their thoughts. It shall [happen,] that I will gather all nations & [languages] & they shall come & see My glory. |
[Revelation 5:7-10 And He came & took the Book out of the right hand of Him, [Who] sat on the throne. And when He had taken the Book, the 4 [living creatures] & 24 elders fell down before the Lamb, everyone having harps & golden vials of [incense, that] are the prayers of saints. |
And they [sang] a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the Book & to open the seals [of it.] For You [were] slain & by Your blood, have redeemed us to God, out of every [family & language] & people & nation. And [have] made us kings & priests to our God & we shall [rule] on the earth.] |
And I will [put] a sign among them & I will sent those [who] escape [from] them to the nations: to Tarshish, Pul, Lud & [those who] draw the bow to Tubal & Javan & to the [coastal islands] far [away, who] haven't heard [of] My fame & neither have seen My glory. |
And they shall declare My glory among the Gentiles. [Romans 15:10-12 And He says again, Rejoice you Gentiles, with His people. And again, Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles & [glorify] Him, all you people. *And again, [Isaiah said,] There shall be a Root of Jesse & He, [Who] shall rise to [rule] over the Gentiles, the Gentiles shall trust in Him.] |
And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering out of all the nations to the Lord, upon horses, in chariots, in litters, upon mules & upon swift [animals,] to My holy mountain, Jerusalem, says the Lord, [like] the children [people] of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the [Lord's] house. |
[Isaiah 18:7 In that time, the present shall be brought to the Lord of Hosts [from] a scattered people, terrible from their beginning, [until now.] A nation [measured] out & [trampled] under foot, whose land, the rivers have spoiled [all the way] to Mount Zion, the place of the Name of the Lord of Hosts.] |
And I will also take of them for: priests & for Levites, says the Lord. The Lord says, For [like] the new heavens & the new earth, [that] I will make, shall remain before Me, so shall your [descendants] & your name remain. [Revelation 21:1-3 And I saw a new heaven & a new earth. |
For the first heaven & the first earth [had] passed away & there was no more sea. And I, John, saw the Holy City, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven, from God, prepared [like] a bride adorned for her husband. |
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, [Look,] the tabernacle of God is with men. And He will dwell with them & they shall be His people & God, Himself, shall be with them & be their God.] |
And it shall [happen,] that from one New Moon to another & from one Sabbath to another, all [people] shall come to worship before Me, says the Lord. And they shall go [out] & look upon the [corpses] of men, [who] have [sinned] against Me. For their worm shall not die & neither shall their fire be quenched. And they shall be [loathed by] all flesh. |
