About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

Jeremiah 41:1-18 Although Forewarned, Gedaliah is Killed by Ishmael

Although Forewarned, Gedaliah is Killed by Ishmael

Jeremiah 41:1-18                               The Book of Jeremiah [in Smaller Chunks]

Now, it [happened during] the 7th month, that Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son, [who was] the son of Elishama, [from] the royal seed & the [king's] princes & even 10 men came with [Ishmael] to Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son, [in] Mizpah. And they [ate] bread together there in Mizpah.

Then, Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son, & the 10 men, [who] were with him, arose & with [swords, struck down] Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son, [who was] the son of Shaphan, & killed [Gedaliah,] whom [Babylon's] king had made governor over the land. Also, Ishamel [killed] all the Jews, [who] were with [Gedaliah in] Mizpah & the Chaldeans & the men of war found there.

And it [happened on] the 2nd day, after he had [killed] Gedaliah & no man knew [about] it, that [some] 80 men came there from Shechem, Shiloh & Samaria, [with] their beards [shaved,] their clothes [torn] & [had] cut themselves & [had] offerings & incense in their [hands] to bring them to the [Lord's] house.

[Isaiah 22:12 And [on] that day, the Lord of Hosts, [called] to: weeping, mourning, baldness & [wearing] sackcloth.] And Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son, went [out] from Mizpah, to meet them, weeping all along as he went.

And it [happened,] as he met them, [Ishmael] said to them, Come to Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son. And when they came into the [middle] of the city, it [happened] that Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son, & the men, [who] were with him, [killed] them & [threw] them into the midst of the pit.

But [there] were 10 men found among them, who said to Ishmael, [Don't kill] us: [because] we have treasures in the field of: wheat, barley, oil & honey. So, [Gedaliah didn't kill] them among their brethren.

Now, the pit, [a.k.a. cistern, in which] Ishmael had [thrown] all the dead bodies of the men, whom [Ishmael] had [killed,] because of Gedaliah, was [the same one that] king Asa had made for fear of Baasha, [Israel's] king. And Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son, filled it with [those who] were [killed.]

Then, Ishmael carried away captive: all the [rest] of the people, [who] were in Mizpah, even the king's daughters & all the people, [who] remained, [who were put under the control of] Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son, [by] Nebuzar Adan, the captain of the guard.

And Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son, carried them away captive & [left] to go over to the Ammonites.

But when Johanan, [Kareah's] son & all the captains of the [troops] with him, heard of all the evil that Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son, had done, they then took all the men & went to fight [against] Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son & found [Ishmael] by the great waters, [a.k.a. The Pool of Gibeon,] that [is] in Gibeon.

Now, it [happened,] that when all the [captive] people, [who] were with Ishmael saw Johanan, [Kareah's] son, & all the captains of the [troops] with him, then they were all glad.

So, all the people, [whom] Ishmael had carried away captive from Mizpah, [turned around] & went to Johanan, [Kareah's] son. But Ismael, [Nethaniah's] son, with 8 men, escaped from Johanan & went to the Ammonites.

Then, Johanan, [Kareah's] son, took all the captains of the [troops] with him & all the [rest] of the people from Mizpah, whom [Johanan had rescued] from Ishmael, [who had killed] Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son.

[Johanan rescued in] Gibeon: even mighty men of war, women, children & eunuchs, [a.k.a. officers.] And they [left] & [temporarily stayed] in the habitation of Chimham, by Bethlehem, to go [on their way to] enter into Egypt.

[Since] they were afraid of the Chadeans, because Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son, had [killed] Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son, whom [Babylon's] king [had] made governor in the land.
