About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

Mark 14:1-72 Jesus Is Anointed by the Oil to Prepare for His Burial

Jesus Is Anointed by the Oil to Prepare for His Burial

Mark 14:1-72         The Gospel According to Mark [in Smaller Chunks]

After 2 days was the Feast of the Passover, & [Feast] of Unleavened Bread, [a.k.a. without yeast.] And the chief priests & scribes sought how they might take [Jesus] by [trickery,] & put Him to death. But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there [is] an uproar [from] the people.

And being in Bethany, in the house of Simon, the leper, as [Jesus] sat at [dinner,] there came a woman, [who had] an alabaster box of very precious spikenard ointment, [a.k.a. oil,] & poured it on [Jesus'] head.

And there were some, [who] [were] [indignant] within themselves, & said, Why was this waste of the ointment made? For it might have been sold for more than 300 pence, & have been given to the poor. And they [grumbled] against her.

[John 12:4-6 Then, 1 of [Jesus'] disciples, Simon's son, Judas Iscariot, [who would] betray [Jesus, said,] Why wasn't this ointment sold for 300 pence, & given to the poor? This [Judas] said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, & had the [money] bag, & [carried] what was put [in it.]

And Jesus said, Let her alone. Why [do] you trouble her? She [has brought about] a good work on Me. For you have the poor with you always, & [whenever] you [want,] you may do them good. But you [won't] always have Me. She [has] done what she could. *She [has] come [beforehand] to anoint My body [for] burying.

[Matthew 27:57-60 *When the [evening had] come, a rich man [from] Arimathaea, named Joseph, came, who also, himself was Jesus' disciple. He went to Pilate, & begged [for] the body of Jesus. Then, Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.

And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, & laid it in his own new tomb, which [Joseph] had [cut] out in the rock. And he rolled a great stone, [a.k.a. boulder,] to the door of the [tomb,] & departed.]

[Truly,] I say to you, [Wherever] this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, [what] she has done, shall also be spoken of for a memorial [for] her. And Judas Iscariot, 1 of the 12, went to the chief priests, to betray [Jesus] to them.

And when they heard it, they were glad, & promised to give [Judas] money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray [Jesus.] And the 1st day of unleavened bread, when they killed the Passover [animal,] His disciples said to [Jesus,] Where [do] You [want] that we go & prepare, [so] that You may eat the Passover?

*And [Jesus sent out] 2 of His disciples, & [said] to them, You, go into the city, & there you shall meet a man, [carrying] a pitcher of water: follow him. And [wherever] he shall go in, you say to the [head] of the house, The Master, [a.k.a. Teacher,] says, Where is the [room for guests,] where I shall eat the Passover with My disciples?

*And he will [show] you a large upper room furnished & prepared. Make [it] ready there for us. *And [Jesus'] disciples went [out,] & came into the city, & found [like Jesus] had said to them. And they made the Passover ready. And in the [evening, Jesus came] with the 12.

*And as they sat & [ate,] Jesus said, [Truly,] I say to you, One of you, [who] eats with Me, shall betray Me. [Matthew 26:46-49 *Rise, let's be going. [Look,] he is at hand, [who betrays] Me. And while [Jesus still spoke, look,] Judas, 1 of the 12, came, & with [Judas] came a [large] multitude, from the chief priests, & elders of the people, with swords, & [clubs.]

Now, he, [who] betrayed [Jesus,] gave them a sign, saying, [Whomever] I shall kiss, that same is He. Hold Him [securely.] *And [right away Judas] came to Jesus, & said, Hail, master; & kissed [Jesus.]

And they began to be sorrowful, & to say to [Jesus,] one by one, Is it I? And another said, Is it I? *And [Jesus] answered & said to them, It is 1 of the 12, [who dips] in the dish with Me. Indeed, the Son of Man [goes] as it is written [in the Scriptures about] Him. But woe to that man, by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It [would have been] good for that man, if he had never been born.

And as they [ate,] Jesus took bread, & bless, & [broke] it, & gave [it] to them & said, Eat, this is My body. And [Jesus] took the cup, & when He had given thanks, [Jesus] gave it to them; & they drank [from] it.

And [Jesus] said to them, This is My blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many. [Truly,] I say to you, I will no [longer] drink [from] the fruit of the vine, until that day, that I drink it new in the Kingdom of God. And when they had sung [a] hymn, they went out into the Mount of Olives.

*And Jesus [said] to them, All [of] you shall be offended, because of Me this night. For it is written, I will [strike] the Shepherd, & the sheep shall be scattered. *But after that, I Am risen, I will go before you into Galilee. [Mark 16:6-7 *And [the Angel said] to them, [Don't] be frightened.

You seek Jesus of Nazareth, [Who] was crucified. He Is risen. He isn't here. [Look,] the place where they laid Him. *But go [on] your way, & tell His disciples & Peter, that [Jesus] goes before you into Galilee. *There you shall see Him, [like] He said to you.]

But Peter said to [Jesus, Even if] all shall be offended, [still,] I won't. And Jesus [said] to [Peter,] *[Truly,] I say to you, That this day, even [during] this night, you shall deny Me [three times,] before the cock, [a.k.a. rooster, crows] twice. But [Peter spoke] more [vigorously,] If I should die with You, I won't deny You in any [way.] They all also said [the same.]

And they came to a place [that] was named Gethsemane. And [Jesus] said to His disciples, Sit here while I pray. And [Jesus took] with Him, Peter, James, & John, & began to be [troubled & deeply distressed;] & said to them, My soul is [exceedingly sorrowful, to [the point of] death. You, [wait] here, & watch.

And [Jesus] went forward a little, & fell on the ground, & prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. *And [Jesus] said, Abba, Father, all things are possible to You. Take away this cup from Me. [However,] not what I [want,] but what You [want.]

And [Jesus came, & found] them sleeping, & said to Peter, Simon [are] you [sleeping?] Couldn't you watch 1 hour? You, watch & pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit truly is [willing,] but the flesh is weak.

And again [Jesus] went away, & prayed, & [spoke] the same words. And when [Jesus] returned, He found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither [did] they [know] what to answer Him.

*And [Jesus, came] the 3rd time, & [said] to them, Sleep on now, & [get] your rest. It's enough, the hour [has come. [Look,] the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise up, & let's go. [Look,] he, [who betrays] Me, is at hand.

*And immediately, while [Jesus still spoke,] Judas [came,] 1 of the 12, & with him a [large] multitude, from the chief priests, scribes & the elders, with swords & [clubs.] [Psalm 41:9 *[Yes, My] Own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, [who ate] of My bread, [has] lifted up his heel against Me.]

*And [Judas,] who betrayed [Jesus] had given them a [signal,] saying, [Whomever] I shall kiss, that same is He. Take Him, & lead Him away safely. And as soon as [Judas came,] he [went right away] to [Jesus,] & [said,] Master, master, [a.k.a. Teacher or Rabbi,] & kissed [Jesus.] [Proverbs 27:6 *Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.]

And they [seized Jesus,] & took Him. And one of them, [who] stood by, drew a sword & [struck] a servant of the high priest, & cut off his ear. *And Jesus [responded] & said to them, [Have] you come out, [like] against a thief, with swords & with [clubs] to take Me?

I was with you daily in the temple teaching, & you [didn't take] Me. But the Scriptures must be fulfilled. [Isaiah 53:3-5 *He is despised & rejected [by] men. A Man of sorrows, & acquainted with grief.

And we hid, [like] it were our faces from Him. He was despised, & we [didn't hold] Him [in high regard.] *Surely, He has [carried] our griefs, & sorrows, & [still,] we [didn't respect] Him, [suffering, struck,] & afflicted [by] God.

*But He was wounded for our [sins,] & He was bruised for our iniquities. The [discipline for] our peace was upon Him. And with His stripes, [a.k.a. whip marks,] we are healed.]

*And they all [abandoned Jesus, & fled. [Psalm 142:4 *I looked on My right hand [side,] & [looked,] but there was no man [who] would [acknowledge] Me. Refuge [escaped] Me; & no man cared for My soul, [a.k.a. life.]

And a certain young man followed [Jesus] there, having a linen cloth [thrown around] his naked body. And the young men [seized] him. And he left the linen [cloths,] & fled from them naked.

And they led Jesus away to the high priest, & with him, all the chief priests, elders, & the scribes were assembled. And Peter followed [Jesus, at a distance,] even into the palace of the high priest. And [Peter] sat with the servants, & warmed himself at the fire.

*And the chief priests & all the council sought for witnesses against Jesus to put Him to death, & found none. For many [bore] false witness against [Jesus,] but their [testimony didn't agree] together. [Psalm 35:11 *False witnesses did rise up; & they laid to My charge things that I [didn't know.]

*And [someone] arose there, & [bore] false witness against [Jesus,] saying, We heard Him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, & within 3 days, I will [rebuild] another made without hands.]

But neither did their [testimony] agree together. [Psalm 27:12 *[Don't] deliver Me over to the will of [My] enemies; for false witnesses [have] risen up against Me, & as such breathe out cruelty.]

*And the high priest stood up in the [middle,] & asked Jesus, saying, [Do,] You [answer] nothing? What is it [that] these [testify] against You? *But [Jesus] held His peace, & answered nothing. [Isaiah 53:7 *He was oppressed, & He was afflicted, & [still] He [didn't open] His mouth. He is brought [like] a lamb to the slaughter, & [like] a sheep is [mute] before her shearers, so He [didn't open] His mouth.]

Again the high priest asked [Jesus,] & said to Him, [Are,] You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed. *And Jesus said, I Am. And you shall see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of power, & coming in the clouds of heaven. [Revelation 1:5-8 *And from Jesus Christ, Who is the faithful witness, & the 1st [born] of the dead, & the [ruler] of the kings of the earth.

[For] Him, [Who] loved us, & washed us from our sins in His Own Blood, & has made us kings & priests to God & His Father. To Him be glory & dominion, [a.k.a. power,] forever & ever. Amen.

[Look,] He comes with clouds; & every eye shall see Him. And also [those, who] pierced Him. And all [families] of the earth shall wail, because of Him. Even so, Amen. I Am [the] Alpha & Omega, the Beginning & the Ending, says the Lord, [Who] is, [Who] was, & [Who] is to come, the Almighty.]

Then, the high priest [tore] his clothes, & [said,] What need [do] we [have of] further witnesses? You have heard the blasphemy. What [do] you think? And they all condemned [Jesus] to be guilty, [deserving] of death.

*And some began to spit on [Jesus,] & to cover His face, & *to [hit] Him, & to say to Him, Prophesy. *And the servants [struck Jesus] with the palms of their hands.

[Isaiah 50:5-6 *The Lord God [has] opened [My] ear, & I wasn't rebellious, & neither [did I] turned away [My] back. *I gave My back to the [hitters,] & My cheeks to [those, who pulled out] the hair. I [didn't hide] My face from shame & spitting.]

And as Peter was [below] in the palace, one of the maids of the high priest [came] there. And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, & said, And you also [were] with Jesus of Nazareth. *But [Peter] denied, saying I [don't] know [Him,] & neither [do] I understand what you [say.] *And [Peter] went out into the porch, & the cock [crowed.]

And a maid saw Peter again, & began to say to [those, who] stood by, This is one of them. *And [Peter] denied it again. And a little after, [those, who] stood by said again to Peter, Surely, you [are] one of them: for you [are] a Galilaean, & your speech [agrees with this.]

*But [Peter] began to curse, & to swear, saying, I [don't] know this Man, of Whom you speak. And the 2nd time, the cock [crowed.] And Peter [remembered] the Word that Jesus said to him, *Before the cock [crows] twice, you shall deny Me [three times.] And when [Peter] thought [about it,] he wept.
