About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

Luke 4:1-44 Jesus, the Son of God, was Tempted 40 Days by the Devil

Jesus, the Son of God, was Tempted 40 Days by the Devil

Luke 4:1-44          The Gospel According to Luke [in Smaller Chunks

And full of the Holy Ghost, [a.k.a. Holy Spirit,] Jesus returned from Jordan, & was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, & [was] tempted, [a.k.a. tested,] 40 days [by] the devil. And [during] those days, [Jesus ate] nothing. And when they were [over, Jesus was hungry] afterward.

And the devil said to [Jesus,] If You [are] the son of God, command that this stone [is] made [into] bread. And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written [in the Scriptures,] That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word of God.

And the devil, [took Jesus] up into [a] high mountain, & in a moment of time, [showed Jesus] all the kingdoms of the world. And the devil said to [Jesus,] I will give all this power & the glory of them, [to] You, [because it's] delivered to me, & I give it to [whomever] I [want.]

Therefore, if You [will] worship Me, all shall be Yours. And Jesus answered & said to him, Get you behind Me, Satan. For it is written, You [shall] worship the Lord your God, & you [shall] only serve Him. And he brought [Jesus] to Jerusalem, & [put] Him on a pinnacle of the temple.

And said to [Jesus,] If You [are] the Son of God, [throw] Yourself down from [here.] *For it is written, He shall give His Angels charge over You, to keep You. And they shall bear You up in their hands, lest at any time, You dash Your foot against a stone. [Psalm 91:11-12 *For He shall give His Angels charge over You, to keep You in all Your ways. They shall bear You up in their hands, lest You dash Your foot against a stone.]

And Jesus answering, said to him, It is said, You shall not tempt the Lord your God. And when the devil had [finished] all the [temptations,] he departed from [Jesus,] for a [while.] And Jesus returned into Galilee, in the power of the Spirit. And fame of [Jesus] went out through all the region there, & [all around it.] And [Jesus] taught in their synagogues, & [was] glorified [by] all.

And [Jesus] came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And, [like] His custom was, [Jesus] went into the synagogue on the Sabbath Day, & stood up [in order] to read. And the Book of the prophet [Isaiah,] was [given] to [Jesus,] there.

And when *[Jesus] had opened the Book, He found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He [as] anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor. He [has] sent Me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, & the [recovery] of sight to the blind, & to set at liberty, [a.k.a. free, those who] are bruised, [a.k.a. wounded,] & to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

And [Jesus] closed the Book, & He gave it again to the minister, & sat down. And the eyes of all [of] them, [who] were in the synagogue were fastened, [a.k.a. focused,] on [Jesus.] And [Jesus] began to say to them, This day, this Scripture is fulfilled in your ears.

[Isaiah 61:1-2 *The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me; because the Lord [has] anointed Me to preach good [news] to the meek, [a.k.a. humble.] He [has] sent Me to [mend] the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty, [a.k.a. freedom,] to the captives, & the opening of the prison, [a.k.a. release] to [those, who] are bound. *To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, & the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all [who] mourn.]

And all [bore] witness, [a.k.a. testified] [about] [Jesus,] & wondered at the gracious Words [that came] out of His mouth. And they said, Isn't this Joseph's son? And [Jesus] said to them, You will surely say this proverb to Me, Physician, heal Yourself.

[Whatever] we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Your country. And [Jesus] said, [Truly,] I say to you, No prophet is accepted in His Own country. But I tell you [truthfully,] many many widows were in Israel [during] the days of [Elijah,] & when the heaven was shut up, [a.k.a. there was no rain,] 3 years & 6 months. When [a] [large] famine was throughout all the land.

But [Elijah] was sent to none of them, [except] to a woman, [who] was a widow [in] Sarepta, [a.k.a. Zarephath,] a city of Sidon. [1 Kings 17:8-9 And the Word of the Lord came to him, saying, Arise, you [go] to Zarephath, [that] belongs to Zidon, [a.k.a. Sidon,] & dwell there. [Look,] I have commanded a widow woman to sustain, [a.k.a. give assistance to] you.]

And many lepers were in Israel, [during] the time of [Elisha,] the prophet, & none of them [were] cleansed, [except] [for] Naaman, the Syrian. [2 Kings 5:14 Then, [Naaman] went down, & dipped himself in [the] Jordan 7 times, according to the saying of [Elisha,] the man of God. And [Naaman's] flesh, [returned] again like the flesh of a little child, & [Naaman] was clean.]

And all [those] in the synagogue, were filled with [anger,] when they heard these things, & rose up, & [threw Jesus] out of the city. And led [Jesus] up to the [edge] of the hill, [upon which] their city was built, [so] that they might [throw Jesus] down [headfirst.]

But [Jesus passed] through the midst of them & went [on] His way, & came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, & taught them on the Sabbath Days. And they were astonished at [Jesus'] doctrine, [a.k.a. teaching.] For [Jesus'] Word was with power, [a.k.a. authority.]

And in the synagogue, there was a man, [who] cried out with a loud voice, & had a spirit of an unclean [demon,] saying, Let us alone. What [do] we have to do with You, You, Jesus of Nazareth? [Have] You come to destroy us? I know You, & Who You [are;] the Holy One of God.

*And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold your peace, & come out of him. And when the [demon] had thrown [the man] [down] in the [middle, the demon] came out of him, & [didn't harm] him. [Psalm 119:21 *You [have] rebuked the proud, [who] were cursed, who [go astray] from Your commandments.]

And they were all amazed, & [spoke] among themselves, saying, What a Word this is! For He [commands] the unclean spirits with authority & power, & they come out. And the fame of [Jesus] went out into every place of the country & [around it.]

And [Jesus] arose out of the synagogue, & entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother, [a.k.a. Simon's mother-in-law,] was [over] taken with a great fever. And they [begged Jesus,] for her. *And [Jesus] stood over her, & rebuked the fever, & it left her.

[Psalm 107:19-20 *Then, they cry [out] to the Lord in their trouble. And He [saves] them out of their distresses. He sent His Word, & healed them, & delivered them from their destruction.]

And she arose immediately & ministered, [a.k.a. served,] them. Now, when the sun was setting, all [those, who had any [who were] sick with [various] diseases, brought them to [Jesus.] *And [Jesus] laid His hands on everyone of them, & healed them. [Psalm 103:2-4 *Bless the Lord, O my soul, & [don't] forget all His benefits: Who [forgives] all your [sins;] Who [heals] all your diseases; Who [redeems] your life from destruction; Who [crowns] you with loving kindness & tender mercies.]

*And also [demons] came out of many, crying out, & saying, You [are] Christ, the Son of God. [Isaiah 29:19-20 *The meek, [a.k.a. humble,] shall increase their joy in the Lord, & the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. For the terrible one is brought to [nothing,] & the scorner is consumed, [a.k.a destroyed.] And all [who] watch [for opportunities] for sinfulness, are cut off.]

And [Jesus warned] them & [wouldn't allow] them to speak. For they knew that He was Christ. And when it was day, [Jesus left,] & went into a [deserted] place. And the people sought [Jesus.]

And came to [Jesus & stayed [with] Him, [so] that He [wouldn't leave] from them. And [Jesus] said to them, I must also preach the Kingdom of God to other cities. [That's why,] I Am sent. And [Jesus] preached in the synagogues of Galilee.
