About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: Since the Lord had it on my heart to write this blog, I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

King Ahab Asks Whether He Should Go to Battle in Ramoth Gilead

1 Kings 22:1-53                               1 Kings [in Smaller Chunks]

They continued 3 years without war between Syria & Israel. In the 3rd year, it [happened] that Jehoshaphat, [Judah's] king, came down to [Ahab,] [Israel's] king.

And [Israel's] king, [a.k.a. Ahab,] said to his servants, [Do] you know that Ramoth in Gilead is ours, & we still [haven't taken] it out of the hand of [Syria's] king? And [Ahab] said to Jehoshaphat, [Will] you go with me to Ramoth Gilead to battle?

And Jehoshaphat said to [Ahab,] [Israel's] king, I am [like] you [are,] & my people [are] [like] your people, & my horses [are] [like] your horses. And Jehoshaphat said to [Ahab, Israel's] king, I pray [that] you, [ask for] the Word of the Lord today.

Then, king [Ahab] gathered about 400 prophets together, & said to them, Shall I go to battle against Ramoth Gilead, or shall I [refuse?] And they said, Go up [to battle,] for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.

And Jehosaphat said, Isn't there [another] prophet of the Lord here besides [these, so] we might [inquire] of him? And king [Ahab] said to Jehoshaphat, There is [still] one man, Micaiah, [Imlah's] son, by whom we may [inquire from] the Lord, but I hate him. For he [doesn't] prophesy [anything] good concerning me, but [only] evil.

And Jehoshaphat said, [Don't] let the king say [such a thing.] Then, king [Ahab] called an officer, & said, [Hurry to the place, of] Michiah, [Imlah's] son.

Having put on their [royal] robes, [Ahab,] [Israel's] king, & Jehoshaphat, [Judah's] king, each sat on his throne, in [an empty] place in [Samaria's] entrance gate, [with] all the prophets [prophesying in front of] them.

And Zedekiah, [Chenaanah's] son, made iron horns [for] himself, & said, The Lord [says this,] With these [horns,] you [shall] push the Syrians, until you've [destroyed] them.

All the prophets [continued to] [prophesy,] saying, Go up to Ramoth Gilead, & prosper. For the Lord shall deliver it into the king's hand. And the messenger [who was sent] to call Micaiah, [said] to him, [Look] now, the prophets declare good to the king [united together] with 1 mouth, [a.k.a. voice.]

I pray [that] you let your [words,] be like the [words] of 1 of them, & [say what] is good. And Micaiah said, As the Lord [Lives,] I will [only] [say] what the Lord [God] [says] to me, & I will speak that. So, [Micaiah went] to king [Ahab, who] said to him, Micaiah, shall we go to battle against Ramoth Gilead, or shall we [decline?]

And [Micaiah] answered him, Go, & prosper: for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king. And king [Ahab] said to him, How many times shall I [make you swear] that you [only] tell me [what] is true in the Name of the Lord?

And [Micaiah] said, I saw all [of] Israel scattered upon the hills, [like] sheep that [don't] have a shepherd. And the Lord said, These have no master. Let every man return to his house in peace.

And [Ahab,] [Israel's] king, said to Jehoshaphat, Didn't I tell you he [wouldn't] prophesy good concerning me, [only] evil? And [Micaiah] said, Therefore, you, hear the Word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on His throne, & all the host of heaven [were] standing by Him on His right hand [side,] & on His left.

And the Lord said, Who shall persuade Ahab, [so] he [goes] up, & [falls] at Ramoth Gilead? One said [this] & another said [that,] [about] this [matter.] And a spirit came [forward,] & stood [in front of] the Lord, & said, I will persuade [Ahab.]

The Lord said to him, [With what?] And [the spirit] said, I will go [out,] & I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And [the Lord God] said, You [shall] persuade [Ahab,] & also prevail. Go [out,] & do so.

Therefore, now, [see,] the Lord [has] put a lying spirit in the mouth of all your prophets, & the Lord [has] spoken evil concerning you. But Zedekiah, [Chenaanah’s] son, went [close] & [struck] Micaiah on the cheek, & [asked,] Which way did the Spirit of the Lord [go] from me to speak to you?

And Micaiah said, [Watch,] you [shall] see [on] that day,] when you [shall] go into an inner [room] to hide yourself.

And king [Ahab] said, Take Micaiah, & carry him back to Amon, the governor, [a.k.a. ruler,] of the city, & to Joash, the king's son. And say, The king [says this,] Put [Micaiah] in the prison, & [only] feed him with [the] bread & water of affliction, until I come in peace.

And Micaiah said, If you return at all in peace, [then] the Lord [hasn't] spoken by me. [Additionally, Micaiah] said, [Listen,] O people, everyone of you. So [Ahab,] [Israel's] king, & Jehoshaphat, [Judah's] king, went  up to Ramoth Gilead.

And [Ahab,] [Israel’s] king, said to Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, & enter into the battle; but you put on your robes. And king [Ahab] disguised himself, & went into the battle.

But [Syria's] king, commanded 32 [of] his captains, [who ruled] over his chariots, [Don't] fight with [either] small, nor [important, but] only with [Ahab,] [Israel's] king.

And it [happened,] when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said, Surely it is [Israel's] king, & they turned aside to fight against him, & Jehoshaphat cried out.

And it [happened,] when the captains of the chariots [realized] that it wasn't [Israel's] king, they [stopped] pursuing [Jehoshaphat.] And a man drew a bow, & [randomly struck Ahab, Israel's] king, [in] between the harness joints.

[For this reason, king Ahab] said to his chariot driver, Turn [around,] & carry me out of the [army;] for I am wounded. And the battle increased that day, & the king was [propped] up in his chariot [facing] the Syrians, & died [that evening.]

And the blood ran out of the wound, into the [middle] of the [chariot's] [floor.] A proclamation went [out] there, throughout the [army around sunset,] saying, Every man [return] to his: ow: city & own country. So, king [Ahab] died, & was brought to Samaria; & they buried the king in Samaria.

And [someone] washed the chariot & his [armor] in the pool of Samaria; & the dogs licked up [Ahab's] blood, according to the Word of the Lord [that Micaiah spoke] [on the Lord God's behalf.]

Now, aren' the rest of the [actions] of Ahab, & all he did, & the ivory house, [a.k.a. palacce, that] he made, & all the cities he built, written in the Book of Chronicles of the Kings of Israel? So, Ahab [died,] & slept with his [forefathers.]

And Ahaziah, [Ahab's] son, [ruled] in his [place.] And Jehoshaphat, [Asa's] son, began to [rule] over Judah [during] the 4th year Ahab, [Israel's] king [ruled.] Jehoshaphat was 35 years old when he began to [rule,] & he [ruled] 25 years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Azuhbah, [Shilhi's] daughter.

And [Jehoshaphat] walked in all the ways of Asa, his father. [1 Kings 15:11 And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord, [like] did David, his [forefather.]

And [Jehoshaphat didn't] turn [away] from doing [what] was right in the eyes of the Lord [God.] [Still,] [Jehoshaphat didn't] [take] away the high places. For the people [still] offered & burnt incense in the high places.

And Jehoshaphat made peace with [Israel's] king. Now, aren't the rest of [Jehoshaphat's actions,] & [all] his might that he [demonstrated,] & how he warred, written in the Book of Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

And [Jehoshaphat] took out the land, the [rest] of the sodomites [who] remained in the land [during] the days of his father, Asa. There [wasn't a] king in Edom. A deputy [served as] king.

Jehoshaphat [had] made ships of Tarshish, to go to Ophir for gold, but they [didn't go, because] the ships were [wrecked] at Ezion Geber. Then, Ahaziah [Ahab's] son, said to Jehoshaphat, Let my servants go with your servants in the ships.

But Jehoshaphat wouldn't [let them.] And Jehoshaphat [died,] & slept with his [forefathers,] & was buried  with his [forefathers,] in the city of David, his [forefather.]  And Jehoram, [Jehoshaphat's] son, [ruled] in his [place.]

Ahaziah, [Ahab's] son, began to [rule] over Israel in Samaria, [during] the 17th year Jehoshaphat, [Judah's] king [ruled.] And [Ahaziah] [ruled] 2 years over Israel.

And [Ahaziah] did [wickedly] in the sight of the Lord, & walked in the way of his father, [Ahab,] & in the way of his mother, [Jezebel,] & in the way of Jeroboam, [Nebat's] son, who [caused] Israel to sin.

For [Ahaziah] served Baal, & worshiped him, & provoked the Lord God of Israel to anger, according to all that his father had done.
