About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

2 Kings 14:1-29 Amaziah Wants to Meet Face to Face with Jehoash

Amaziah Wants to Meet Face to Face with Jehoash

2 Kings 14:1-29                              2 Kings [in Smaller Chunks]

In the 2nd year [Jehoash, Jehoahaz'] son, king of Israel [ruled,] [Amaziah, Joash's] son, king of Judah [ruled]. [Amaziah] was 25 years old when he began to [rule & ruled] 29 years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.

[Amaziah] did [what] was right in the sight of the Lord, [but] not like David, his [forefather]. [Amaziah,] did according to all the things his father, Joash did. [But] the high places weren't taken away & the people [still] sacrificed & burnt incense [to false gods in] the high places.

As soon as the kingdom was [established] in his hand, [Amaziah killed] his servants [who killed] his father, the king.

According to [what] is written in the Law of Moses, [Amaziah didn't kill] the children of the murderers, [where] the Lord commanded, saying, The fathers shouldn't be put to death for the [sins of] the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers. But every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

[Amaziah killed] 10,000 of Edom in the Valley of the Salt Sea & [captured] Selah [in battle] & called [its] name Joktheel, [until] this day. Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash, [Jeoahaz'] son, [who] was the son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us look one another in the face.

Jehoash sent [back] to Amaziah, [Judah's] king, saying, The thistle in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give your daughter to my son [to marry]. A wild [animal] in Lebanon passed by & [trampled] the thistle down.

[You have ] indeed [defeated] Edom & your heart is lifted up [for] the glory of this. [Stay] at home: for why should you meddle to [your own harm] & [your] and all of [Judah's downfall]. But Amaziah wouldn't [listen].

Therefore, Jehoash, [Israel's] king, went up & he & Amaziah, [Judah's] king, looked one another in the face at Beth Shemesh, which belongs to Judah. Judah was [defeated by] Israel & every man fled to their tents.

Jehoash, [Israel's] king, [captured Amaziah, Judah's] king, [who was] the son of Jehoash, [that] was the son of Ahaziah, at Beth Shemesh & came to Jerusalem & [broke] down [Jerusalem's] wall from [Ephraim']s gate to the Corner Gate, [about] 400 cubits [long].

[Jehoash captured] all the gold & silver & all the vessels found in the [Lord's] house & the treasures of the king's house, [with] hostages & returned to Samaria.

Now, [aren't] the rest of the [actions] of Jehoash, [that] he did & his [strength] & how he fought with Amaziah, [Judah's] king, written in the Book of Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

Jehoash [died] & slept with his [forefathers] & was buried in Samaria. Jeroboam, his son, [ruled] in his [place]. And Amaziah, [Joash's] son, [Judah's] king, lived 15 years after the death of Jehoash, [Jehoahaz'] son, [Israel's] king.

[Aren't] the rest of the [actions] of Amaziah, written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? Now, they made a conspiracy against [Amaziah] in Jerusalem & he fled to Lachish; but they sent after him & [killed] him in Lachish.

They brought [his body] on horses & buried him in Jerusalem with his [forefathers] in the city of David. All the people of Judah took Azariah, [a.k.a. Uzziah, who] was 16 years old & made him king instead of his father Amaziah.

[Azariah rebuilt] Elath & [it was returned] to Judah, after [king Amaziah died] & slept with his [forefathers]. In the 15th year [of] Amaziah, [Joash's] son, [Judah's] king, Jeroboam, [Jehoash's] son, began to [rule] in Samaria & [ruled] 41 years.

[Jeroboam] did [what] was evil in the sight of the Lord. He didn't depart from all the sins of [a different] Jeroboam, [Nebat's] son, who made Israel to sin [by worshiping the 2 gold calves, that Jeroboam, Nebat's son, made, so the Israelites wouldn't go down to offer sacrifices to the Lord God in Jerusalem]

Jeroboam, [Jehoash's] son, restored the [coastal boundaries] of Israel from the entrance of Hamath to the [Dead] Sea, according to the word of the Lord God of Israel, when He spoke by His servant, Jonah, [Amittai's] son, the prophet, [from] Gath Hepher.

For the Lord [God] saw the affliction of Israel was very [severe:] for there weren't any [imprisoned,] nor any left, nor any [to help rescue] Israel. And the Lord said that He wouldn't blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but the [Lord God] saved them by the hand of Jeroboam, [Joash's] son.

Now, [aren't] the rest of the [actions] of Jeroboam & all he did, his [strength,] how he [battled] & how he recovered Damascus & Hamath [for Israel, that had] belonged to Judah, written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel? And Jeroboam [died] & slept with his [forefathers], even with the kings of Israel & Zachariah, his son, [ruled] in his [place].
