A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom, his son. |
Psalm 3:1-8 Book# 1 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks] |
Lord, there are many [who] rise up against me. How [those] are increased [who] trouble me! There are many [who] say of my soul, There is no help for him [from] God. Selah. |
But You, O Lord, are a shield for me & my glory. [You lift] up my head. [Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength & my shield. My heart trusts in Him & I am helped. Therefore, My heart greatly rejoices & I will praise Him with my song.] |
I cried [out] to the Lord with my voice & He heard me out of His Holy Hill. Selah. [Psalm 2:6 Yet, I have [put] My King upon My Holy Hill of Zion.] |
I laid [myself] down & slept. I [awakened;] for the Lord [protected] me. [Leviticus 26:6 I will give peace in the land & you shall lie down & none shall make you afraid, And I will [remove wild animals] out of the land. Neither shall the sword go through Your land.] |
Arise, O Lord & save me, O my God. For you have [struck] all [my] enemies upon the cheekbone. You have broken the teeth of the ungodly. Salvation belongs to the Lord. Your blessing is upon Your people. Selah. |
