A Psalm of David, to the chief Musician on Neginoth [a.k.a. Nehiloth] |
Psalm 6:1-10 Book# 1 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks] |
O Lord, [don't scold] me in Your anger, neither [chastise] me in Your hot displeasure. Have mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak. O Lord, heal me; for my bones are [in anguish.] |
My soul is also [very troubled:] but You, O Lord, how [much longer?] O Lord, return & deliver my soul. Oh, save me for Your mercies' sake. For in death, there is no [memory] of You. In the grave, who shall give You thanks? |
[Psalm 115:17 The dead [don't] praise the Lord, neither [do] any [who] go down into silence.] I am [tired, because of] my groaning. All night, I make my bed to swim & I water my [bed] with my tears. |
[My] eye is consumed, because of grief. It [grows] old, because of all [my] enemies. Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity. For the Lord has heard the [sound] of my weeping. |
The Lord has heard my [request] & [He] will receive my prayer. Let all [my] enemies be ashamed & [greatly troubled.] Let them be suddenly ashamed & not return. |
