A Psalm of David, to the chief Musician upon Nehiloth [a.k.a. Neginoth] |
Psalm 5:1-12 Book# 1 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks] |
O Lord, give [Your] ear [& listen] to my words & consider [my thoughts.] [Pay attention] to the [sound] of my [outcry,] my King & my God. For I will pray to You. You shall hear my voice in the morning, O Lord. In the morning, I will look up & direct my prayer to You. |
For you are not a God, [Who] has pleasure in wickedness & neither shall evil dwell with You. The foolish shall not stand in Your sight. You hate all workers of iniquity. |
[Psalm 1:5 Therefore, the ungodly shall not stand in the [position] of judgment, nor the sinners in the congregation [stand in the position] of the righteous.] |
You shall destroy [those who] speak [what are falsehoods.] The Lord will [loathe] the [blood thirsty] & deceitful man. But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy. I will worship You in fear [respect] toward Your holy temple. |
Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness, because of [my] enemies. Make Your [path] straight, before my face. For there is no faithfulness in their mouth. |
[Within them] is wickedness & their [mouth] is an open [tomb] & they flatter with their [mouth.] [Romans 3:13 Their throat is an open [tomb] & they have used their [mouths deceitfully.] The poison of [cobras] is under their lips.] |
O God, destroy them. Let them fall by their own [advice.] In the multitude of their [sins,] cast them out; for they have rebelled against You. But let all those [who] put their trust in You rejoice. |
Let them [always] shout for joy, because You defend them. Let [those who] love Your Name, also be joyful [through] You. For You, Lord, will bless the righteous, with favor & You will [surround] him with a shield. |
