A Psalm of David. |
Psalm 103:1-22 Book# 4 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks] |
Bless the Lord, O my soul & all that is within me, bless His Holy Name. Bless the Lord, O my soul & [don't] forget all His benefits. Who forgives all your [sins] & heals all your diseases. Who redeems your life from destruction. Who crowns you with loving kindness & tender mercies. |
Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. The Lord [delivers] righteousness & [justice] for all [who] are oppressed. |
He made known His ways to Moses & His [actions] to the children [people] of Israel. The Lord is merciful & gracious, slow to anger & [is abundant] in mercy. He won't always [scold] & neither will He [hold] His anger forever. |
[Hebrews 12:6-10 For whom the Lord loves, He [disciplines] & [punishes] every son whom He receives. If you endure [chastising,] God deals with you [like] with sons. For what son is he, whom the father [doesn't discipline?] |
But if you [are] without [discipline,] then all you [participants] are [illegitimate] & not sons. Furthermore, we have had [fleshly] fathers, [who] corrected us & we gave them [respect, shouldn't] we [instead submit with reverence & humility to] the Father of spirits & live? |
For they [truly disciplined] us for a few days, [as seemed good to them;] but [God disciplines] for our [benefit, so] we might be [participants] of His Holiness.] |
He hasn't dealt with us [according to the magnitude of] our sins; nor [repaid] us according to our iniquities. For [like] the heaven is high above the earth, so [large] is His mercy toward [those who] fear [respect] Him. As far as the east is from the west, He has removed our [sins] so far from us. |
[Romans 5:6-8 For when we were [still] without strength, in due time, Christ died for the ungodly. Scarcely for a righteous man will [someone] die & [perhaps] for a good man, some would even dare to die. * But God [demonstrates] His love toward us, in that, while we were [still] sinners, Christ died for us.] |
Like as a father pities his children, so the Lord pities [those who] fear [respect] Him. For He knows our [structure] & He remembers that we are dust. As for man, his days are [like] grass. [Like] a flower of the field, so he flourishes. For the wind passes over it & it is gone. And the place [of it,] you shall no [longer] know. |
[1 Peter 1:24-25 For all flesh is [like] grass & all the glory of men [like] the flower of grass. The grass withers & the flower [of it] falls away. But the Word of the Lord endures forever. And this is the Word, which by the gospel is preached to you.] |
But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon [those who] fear [respect] Him & His righteousness to [their] children's children [of those who] keep His covenant [contract] & those [who] remember His commandments & do them. |
The Lord has prepared His throne in the heavens & His kingdom rules over all. Bless the Lord, you, His angels, [who] excel in strength & [who] do His commandments, [paying attention] to the [sound] of His Word. |
All you, His Hosts, Bless you the Lord & you ministers of His, [who] do His pleasure. Bless the Lord & all His works in all places of His dominion. [Matthew 15:29-31 And Jesus departed from [there] & came [near] the Sea of Galilee & went up into a mountain & sat down there. |
And great multitudes came to Him, having with them those [who] were: lame, blind, [mute, disfigured] & many others [threw themselves] down at His feet & He healed them. |
In so much, as the multitude wondered, when they saw the [mute] speak, the [disfigured were] whole, the lame [walked] & the blind [saw.] And they glorified the God of Israel.] Bless the Lord, O my soul. |
