About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

Isaiah 37:1-38 Hezekiah Prays to the Lord God with the Letter From Assyria's King

Hezekiah Prays to the Lord God with the Letter From Assyria's King

Isaiah 37:1-38                               The Book of Isaiah [in Smaller Chunks]

And it [happened,] when king Hezekiah heard it, that he [tore] his clothes & covered himself with sackcloth & went into the [Lord's] house. And [Hezekiah] sent Eliakim, who was over the household, Shebna, the scribe & the [priests'] elders, covered with sackcloth to Isaiah, the prophet, [who was] [Amoz'] son.

And they said to [Isaiah,] Hezekiah [said this,] This day is a day of: trouble, [reprimand] & of blasphemy: for the children [people have] [approached] the birth & there is [no] strength to [deliver.]

It may be the Lord your God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom [Assyria's] king, his master, has sent to [ridicule] the Living God & will [reprimand] the words [that] the Lord your God has heard. [For this reason,] lift up your prayer for [those remaining, who] are left.

So, king [Hezekiah's] servants came to Isaiah.] And Isaiah said to them, You shall say [this] to your master, The Lord says [this, Don't] be afraid of the words that you have heard, [in which] the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me.

[Watch,] I will send a [severe reprimand] upon him & he shall hear a rumor & return to his own land. And I will cause him to fall by the sword, in his own land. So, Rabshakeh returned & found [Assyria's] king [battling] against Libnah: for he had heard that he [had left] from Lachish.

And [Rabshakeh] heard say [about] Tirhakah, [Ethiopia's] king, He [has] come [out] to make war with you. And when [Rabshakeh] heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying, You shall [say this] to Hezekiah, [Judah's] king, saying, [Don't] let your God, in Whom you trust, deceive you, saying, Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of [Assyria's] king.

[Look,] you have heard what the king of Assyria has done to all the lands by [totally] destroying them & shall you be delivered? Have the gods of the nations  [that] my [forefathers] have destroyed, delivered them, [like:] Gozan, Haran, Rezeph & the children [people] of Eden, [that] were in Telassar? Where [are] the [kings] of: Hamath, Arphad, Sepharvaim, Hena & Ivah?

And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers & read it. And Hezekaih went up [into] the [Lord's] house & spread [the letter] before the Lord. And Hezekiah prayed to the Lord, saying, O Lord of Hosts, God of Israel, [Who] dwells between the cherubims, You are the God, even You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth.

You have made heaven & earth. [Lean] Your ear, O Lord, & hear. Open Your eyes, O Lord, & see & hear all the words of Sennacherib, [who] has sent to [disgrace] the Living God. [Truthfully,] Lord, the kings of Assyria have laid [to] waste all the nations & their countries & have [thrown] their gods into the fire: for they weren't gods, but the work of men's hands, [of:] wood & stone.

Therefore, they have destroyed them. O Lord, our God, therefore, now save us from his hand, [so] that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the Lord, even You only.

Then, Isaiah, [Amoz'] son, sent to Hezekiah, saying, The Lord God of Israel, [says this, Since] you have prayed to Me against Sennacherib, [Assyria's] king, This is the Word [that] the Lord has spoken [about] him; The virgin, the daughter of Zion, [a.k.a. Jerusalem,] has despised you & [looks down on you.]

The daughter of Jerusalem has shaken her head at you. Whom have you [disgraced] & blasphemed? And against Whom have you [raised] your voice & lifted up your eyes on high? Even against the Holy One of Israel.

[Isaiah 2:11-12 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled & the [arrogance] of men shall be bowed down & the Lord alone shall be exalted [on] that day. For the day of the Lord of Hosts, shall be upon everyone, [who] is lifted up & he shall be brought low.]

You have [disgraced] the Lord, by your servants & have said, By the multitude of my chariots, I [have] come up to the height of the mountains, to the side of Lebanon & I will cut down [its] tall cedar trees & [its best] fir trees. And I will enter into the height of [God's] border & the forest of His Carmel. I have [dug] with the soles of my feet & drunk water & I have dried up all the rivers of the places [surrounded by troops.]

Haven't you, [Sennacherib,] heard? Long ago, how I have done it & that I have formed it [in] ancient times? [Isaiah 22:11 You also made a [aqueduct] between the 2 walls for the water of the old pool: but you haven't looked to [its] Maker, neither [did you show] respect to Him, [Who] fashioned it long ago.]

Now, I have [had it happen,] [in order] that you should be to [destroy fortified] cities into ruinous heaps. Therefore, their [residents had little] power & they were [distressed & confused.]

They were [like] the grass of the field & the green herb & [like] the grass on the [rooftops] & [like] corn [scorched] before it [has] grown up. But I know [where you live] & your going out & coming in & your rage against Me. Because your rage against Me & your [commotion has] come up into [My] ears.

Therefore, I will put My hook in your nose & My bridle in your lips & I will turn you back, by the [road of] which you came. And this shall be a sign to you, This year, you shall eat [what] grows of itself. The 2nd year, [you shall eat,] [what sprouts up] of the same [plants.]

And in the 3rd year, you [shall] sow [seeds] & [harvest] & plant vineyards & eat of [its] fruit. And the [remaining, who] have escaped [from] the house of Judah, shall again take root downward & [produce] fruit upward. For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant & [those who] escape out of Mount Zion. The zeal of the Lord of Hosts shall do this.

[Isaiah 9:6-7 *For unto you a Child is born, unto us a Son is given. And the government shall be upon His shoulder & His Name shall be called: Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

There shall be no end of the increase of His government & peace, upon the throne of David & upon His kingdom, to [command] it & to establish it with judgment & with justice from [now on,] even forever. The zeal of the Lord of Hosts will [accomplish] this.]

Therefore, the Lord said [this about Assyria's] king, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shields, nor [throw up an embankment] against it. He shall return by the same [road] that he came & shall not come into this city, says the Lord.

For I will defend this city to save  it for [My] Own sake & for My servant, David's] sake. Then, the Angel of the Lord went [out] & [killed] 185,000 of the [Assyrian's] camp. And when [the Israelites] arose early in the morning, they [saw,] they were all dead corpses.

So, Sennacherib, [Assyria's] king departed & went & returned & [lived in] Nineveh. And it [happened,] as [Sennacherib] was worshiping  in the house of Nisroch, his god, that his sons, Adrammelech & Sharezer, [struck him down] with the sword & they escaped into the land of Armenia. And Esar Haddon, his son [ruled] in his [place.]
