About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

Luke 20:1-47 The Priest, Scribes & Elders Try to Test Jesus

The Priest, Scribes & Elders Try to Test Jesus

Luke 20:1-47          The Gospel According to Luke [in Smaller Chunks]

On one of those days, as [Jesus] preached the Gospel & taught the people in the temple, it [happened,] that the chief priests, scribes & elders came [to] [Jesus,] & [spoke] to Him, saying, Tell us, by what authority You [do] these things?

Or Who is He, [Who] gives You this authority? And [Jesus] answered I said to them, I will also ask you one thing, & answer Me. The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or [from] men?

And they reasoned [among] themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; [Jesus] will say, Then, why [haven't] you believed him? But if we say, [From] men; all the people will stone us. For they [are] persuaded that John was a prophet. And they answered, that they couldn't tell [where] it was [from.] And Jesus said to them, Neither [will] I tell you, by what authority I do these things.

*Then [Jesus] began to speak this parable to the people. [Psalm 78:1-4 [Listen,] O My people, to My Law. [Lean] your ears to the Words of My mouth. *I will open My mouth in a parable. I will utter dark sayings of old, [that] we have heard & known, & our [forefathers] have told us. We won't hide them from their children, [declaring] the praises of the Lord, His strength, & His wonderful works, [a.k.a.miracles,] He has done, to the generation to come.]

A certain man planted a vineyard, & [rented] it [out] to [farmers,] & went into a [distant] country for a long time. And at the [harvest] season, he sent a servant to the [farmers, so] that they should give him [some] of the fruit [from] the vineyard. But the [farmers] beat him, & sent him away empty [handed.]

And again, he sent another servant. And they also beat him, & [treated] him shamefully, & sent him away empty [handed.] And again, he sent a 3rd [servant,] & they also wounded him, & [threw] him out.

Then, the lord of the vineyard said, What shall I do? I will send my beloved Son. It may be [that] they will [respect] him when they see him. But when the [farmers] saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir. Come, let's kill him, [so] that the inheritance may be ours.

So, they cast him out of the vineyard, & killed him. Therefore, what shall the lord of the vineyard do to them. He shall come & destroy these [farmers,] & shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they said, God forbid. [Romans 11:2-4 God hasn't cast away His people, [that] He [previously] knew.

[Don't you know,] what the Scriptures say of [Elijah?] How [Elijah made] intercession to God against Israel, saying, Lord, they have killed Your prophets, & [tore] down Your altars. And I am left alone, & they seek my life. And what [did] God answer to him? I have reserved to Myself 7,000 men, who haven't bowed [their] knee to the image of Baal.]

*And [Jesus saw] them, & said, What is this then, that was written, The stone [that] the builders reject, the same [has] become the head of the corner? [Acts 4:19-12 If we [are] examined this day [for] the good deed done to this [lame] man, by what means is he made whole. It [should] be known to all of you, & to all the people of Israel, that by the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Whom you crucified, Whom God raised from the dead, even by Him, [does] this man stand here [in front of] you whole. *This is the stone which was [put] to [nothing by] you builders, [Who] has become the head of the corner.]

[Whoever] shall fall upon that stone shall be broken, but on [whomever] it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. [1 Peter 2:7-8 *Therefore, to you [who] believe, [Christ] is precious. But to [those, who are] disobedient, the stone [that] the builders [rejected,] the same is made the head of the corner. *And a stone [causing] stumbling, & a rock [causing] offence, even to [those, who] being disobedient, stumble at the Word [of God.] Which they were also appointed [to.

And the chief priests, & scribes sought to lay hands on [Jesus that] same hour. And they feared the people, for they [realized] that [Jesus] had spoken this parable against them.

And they watched [Jesus,] & sent [out] spies, [who] should [pretend] [to be] just, [a.k.a. righteous,] men, [so] that they might [manipulate Jesus'] Words, so that they might deliver [Jesus] to the power & authority of the governor.

And they asked [Jesus,] saying, Master, [a.k.a. Teacher,] we know that You [say] & [teach correctly.] Neither [do] You accept the [status] of any person, but truly [teach] the way of God. Is it lawful for us to give tribute, [a.k.a. taxes,] to Caesar, or [not?] But [Jesus realized] their craftiness, & said to them, Why [do] you [test] Me? [Show] me a penny. Whose image & [inscription] [does] it [have?]

They answered & said, Caesar's. And [Jesus] said to them, Therefore, [give] to Caesar, the things [that are] Caesar's, & to God, the things [that are] God's. And they couldn't [seize Jesus'] Words [in front of] the people. And they [marveled] at [Jesus'] answer, & held their peace.

Then, [some] of the Sadducees, [who] deny that there is any resurrection, came to [Jesus] & they asked Him. Saying, Master, [a.k.a. Teacher,] Moses wrote to us, If any man's brother [dies,] having a wife, & he [dies] without children, that his brother should take his wife, & raise up [offspring] to his brother.

Therefore, there were 7 [brothers.] And the 1st took a wife, & died without children. And the 2nd [married] her, & he died childless. And the 3rd took her; & [similarly,] the 7 also died, & they left no children. Last of all, the woman also died. Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife is she of [those? ]For [all] 7 [married] her.

And answering, Jesus said to them, The children, [a.k.a. people,] of this world marry, & are given in marriage. But [those, who] shall [are considered] worthy to obtain the world [to come,] & the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage. Neither can they die anymore. For they are equal to the Angels, & being the children of the resurrection, are the children of God.

[1 John 3:2 Beloved we are now the sons of God. It doesn't appear yet what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him: for we shall see Him as He is.]

Now, the dead that are raised, even Moses, [declared] at the [bruning] bush, when [Moses] called the Lord: The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, & the God of Jacob, [a.k.a. Israel.] For He isn't a God of the dead, but [a God] of the living: for all live [for] Him.

Then, [some] of the scribes, [answered] & said, Master, [a.k.a. Teacher,] You [have] said well. After that, they [dared] not ask [Jesus] any [questions] at all. And [Jesus] said to them, How [do] they say that Christ is David's son? *And David, himself [said,] in the book of Psalms, The Lord said to my Lord, You, sit [at] My right hand [side.] [Until] I make your enemies, your footstool. Therefore, David [called] Him, Lord. How then is He [Davids'] son?

Then, [Jesus] said to His disciples, in [front] of all the people, Beware of the scribes, [who] desire to walk in long robes, & love [to be] [greeted] in the markets, [& love] the highest seats in the synagogues, & the [best] rooms at feasts. [Who] devour widow's houses, & for a [display] make long prayers. The same shall receive greater [condemnation.]

[Matthew 6:5-6 And when you [pray,] you shall not be [like] the hypocrites are, [a.k.a. those who say 1 thing & do another.] For they love to pray standing in the synagogues & in the corners of the streets, [so] that they may be seen [by] men. [Truly,] I say to you, They have their reward. But you, when you [pray,] enter into your closet, & when you [have] shut your door, pray in [private] to your Father, [Who] sees in [private] & shall reward you openly.
