About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

Luke 24:1-53 Jesus' Resurrection from the Dead

Jesus' Resurrection from the Dead

Luke 24:1-53          The Gospel According to Luke [in Smaller Chunks]

Now, upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they & [some] others came with them to the [tomb,] bringing the spices [that] they had prepared. And they found the stone, [a.k.a. boulder,] rolled away from the [tomb.]

*And they entered in, & [didn't find] the body of the Lord Jesus. [Psalm 16:9-10 *Therefore, My heart is glad, & My glory [rejoices.] My flesh shall also rest in hope. For You won't leave My soul in hell; & neither will You [allow,] Your Holy One to see corruption, [a.k.a. decay.]

And it [happened,] as they were [very confused about it, & saw] 2 men stood by them in shining garments. And [since] they were afraid, bowed down their faces to the [ground.] The [2 men] said to them, Why [do] you seek the Living among the dead? He isn't here, but is risen.

Remember how [Jesus spoke] to you when He was [still] in Galilee saying, *The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, & be crucified, & rise again the third day. [Isaiah 53:12 *Therefore, I will divide Him a portion with the great, & He shall divide the spoil with the strong. Because He [has] poured out His soul unto death. And He was numbered with the transgressors, & made intercession for the transgressors. And He [bore] the sin of many.]

And they remembered His Words, & returned from the [tomb,] & told all these things to the 11, & to all the rest. It was: Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary, the mother of James, & other women [who] were with them, [who] told these things to the apostles. And their words seemed to them [like] idle tales, & they [didn't believe] them.

Then, Peter arose & ran to the [tomb.] And stooping down, [Peter saw] the linen clothes laid by themselves. And [left,] wondering [within] himself, at [what has happened.] And, [saw,] 2 of them went that same day to the village called Emmaus, which was about [60] furlongs from Jerusalem.

And they talked together [about] all these things [that] had happened. And it [happened,] that, while they [talked] together, & reasoned, Jesus, Himself, drew near, & went with them. [Mark 16:12 After that, [Jesus] appeared in another form, [a.k.a. image,] to 2 of them, as they walked, & went into the country.]

But their eyes were [withheld, so] that they shouldn't know, [a.k.a. recognize Jesus.] And He said to them, What [type] of [discussion] are these, that you have [with] one another, as you are sad & walk?]

And one of them, whose name was Cleopas, [answered] & said to [Jesus, Are] You only a stranger in Jerusalem, & haven't known the things [that have happened] there [during] these days?  And [Jesus] said to them, What things? And they said to him, [About] Jesus of Nazareth, [Who] was a mighty Prophet in Word & [deeds] before God, & all the people.

*And how the chief priests & our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, & have crucified Him. [Psalm 22:16 *For the assembly of the wicked have [enclosed] Me & dogs have [surrounded] Me.They have pierced My hands & My feet.]

*But we trusted that it had been He, [Who] should have redeemed Israel. And [besides] all this, today is the third day since these things were done. [Isaiah 42:6-7 *In Righteousness, I, the Lord, have called You, & will hold Your hand. And will keep You, & give You for a Covenant [contract for] the people, & for a Light [for] the Gentiles. *To open the blind eyes, & to bring out the prisoners from the prison, & to [bring] [those, who] sit in darkness out of the [houses] of the prison.]

Then, [Jesus] said to them, O fools, [with] hearts slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken. *[Shouldn't] Christ have [allowed] these things, & enter into His glory? [Isaiah 53:8-10 *He was taken from prison & from judgment, [a.k.a. justice.] And who shall declare His generation? For He was cut off, out of the land of the living. For He was [struck] for the [sins] of My people. *And He made His grave with the wicked, & with the rich in His death. Because He had done no violence, & neither was any deceit in His mouth.

[Still] it pleased the Lord to bruise Him. He [has] put Him to grief. When You shall make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, & He shall prolong His days. And the pleasure of the Lord shall [benefit] in His hand.]

And He [explained] to them, [about] all the prophets, beginning at Moses, & all the scriptures [with] the things [about] Himself. And they drew [close] to the village, [where] they [were going.] And [Jesus] made [it seem as if] He would have gone further. But they [tried to] [convince] Him, saying, [Stay] with us. For it's [almost] evening, & the day is [almost over.]

And [Jesus] went in, to [wait] with them. And it [happened,] as [Jesus] sat at [dinner] with them, He took [the] bread, & blessed, & [broke] it, & gave [it] to them. And their eyes were opened, & they knew [Jesus;] & He vanished out of their sight.

And they said to one another, Didn't our [hearts] burn within us, while He talked with us by the [road,] & while [Jesus] opened the Scriptures to us? And the same hour, they rose up & returned to Jerusalem, & found the 11 gathered together, & [those, who] were with them.

Saying, The Lord is indeed risen, & [has] appeared to Simon. And they told what things were done [on] the [road,] & how He was known [by] them, in [the] breaking of [the] bread. And as they [spoke this,] Jesus, Himself, stood in the [middle] of them, & said to them, Peace be to you.

But they were terrified & [frightened, & thought] that they had seen a spirit, [a.k.a. ghost.] And [Jesus] said to them, Why are you troubled? And, why do [these] thoughts arise in your hearts? [See] My hands & My feet, that it is I, Myself. [Touch] Me, & see. For a spirit [doesn't have] flesh & bones, as you see Me have.

*And when [Jesus] had spoken [this,] He [showed] them His hands & His feet. [Zechariah 13:6-7 *And [someone] shall say to Him, What are these wounds in Your hands? Then, He shall answer, [These] [are what] I was wounded with in the house of My friends. *Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, & against the man, [who] is My [companion, says] the Lord of Hosts. [Strike] the Shepherd, & the sheep shall be scattered. And I will [return My] hand [for] the little ones.]

And while they [still didn't believe,] & for joy, wondered, [Jesus] said to them, [Do] you have any meat here? And they gave Him a piece of broiled fish, & [a] honeycomb. And [Jesus] took it, & [ate in front of] them.

And [Jesus] said to them, These are the Words, which I [spoke] to you, while I was [still] with you. *[So] that all things must be fulfilled, [that] are written in the [Scriptures:] in the Law of Moses, in the [books of] prophets, & in the Psalms, [about] Me.

[Isaiah 53:5-7 *But He was wounded for our [sins] & He was bruised for our iniquities. The [discipline for] our peace was upon Him. And we are healed with His stripes, [a.k.a. whip marks.] *All we, like sheep, have gone astray. We have everyone turned to his own [ways.] And the Lord has laid on Him the [sin] of us all. *He was oppressed, & He was afflicted. [Still] He [didn't] open His mouth. He is brought [like] a lamb to the slaughter. And [like] a sheep is [mute in front of its] shearers, He [didn't] open His mouth.]

Then, [Jesus] opened their understanding, [so] that they might understand the Scriptures. *And said to them, It is written [like this,] & it [was necessary] [for] Christ to suffer, & rise from the dead, the third day. [Isaiah 53:11 *He shall see the [troubles] of His soul, & shall be satisfied. [By] His knowledge My Righteous Servant shall justify many. For He shall bear their [sins.]

[So] that repentance & remission, [a.k.a. forgiveness] of sins, should be preached in His Name among all nations, beginning [in] Jerusalem. *And you are [eye] witnesses of these things.

[Acts 1:8 *But you shall receive power after the Holy Ghost, [a.k.a. Holy Spirit, comes] upon you. And you shall be [My] witnesses, both in Jerusalem, Judaea, [a.k.a. Judea,] & Samaria, & unto the [furthest parts] of the earth.]

And, [watch,] I send the promise of My Father upon you. *But you [wait] in the city of Jerusalem, until you [are endowed] with power from on High. [Acts 2:2-4 *And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, [like] a mighty, rushing wind. And it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them, [cloven] tongues, like as of fire. And it sat [above] each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, [a.k.a. Holy Spirit.] And [they] began to speak with other tongues, [a.k.a. languages, like] the Spirit gave them utterance.]

And [Jesus] led them out as far as Bethany. And [Jesus] lifted up His hands, & blessed them. *And it [happened,] while He blessed them, [Jesus] was parted from them, & [was] carried up into heaven. [Psalm 68:18 *You [have] ascended on high, & You have led [those] captive [from] captivity. You have received gifts for men; & [yes,] also for the rebellious, [so] that the Lord God might dwell among them.]

And they worshiped [Jesus,] & returned to Jerusalem with great joy. And [they] were continually in the temple, praising & blessing God. Amen.
