About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

John 5:1-47 Jesus Heals the Invalid Man by the Pool

Jesus Heals the Invalid Man by the Pool

John 5:1-47          The Gospel According to John [in Smaller Chunks]

After this, there was a feast of the Jews. And Jesus went up to Jerusalem. [John 2:13 And the Jews' Passover was at hand, & Jesus went up to Jerusalem.] Now, [in] Jerusalem, by the Sheep Market, [a.k.a. Sheep Gate,] [is] a pool, which is called in the Hebrew [language,] Bethesda, having 5 porches, [a.k.a. portico, or covered walkways.]

In these, lay a great multitude of [sick people:] blind, [lame,] & withered, waiting for the [waters to move.] For an Angel went down into the pool, at a certain [time] & troubled, [a.k.a. stirred up,] the water. Then, after the troubling of the water, [whoever] 1st stepped in, was made whole of [whatever] disease he had.

And a certain man was there, [who] had an infirmity 38 years. When Jesus saw him [lying] [there,] knew he had been in that [condition] a long time. [Jesus] said to him, [Will] you be made whole?

The [paralyzed] man answered [Jesus,] Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool, when the water is troubled. But another [steps] down [into the pool,] while I am coming. *Jesus [said] to him, Rise, & take up your bed, & walk. *And immediately, the man was made whole, & took up his bed, & walked.

[Isaiah 35:5-6 *Then, the eyes of the blind shall be opened, & the ears of the deaf shall be [unplugged.] *Then, the lame man shall leap [like a deer.] And the tongue of the [mute,] [shall] sing. For the waters break out in the wilderness, & streams in the desert.]

And [that] same day was the Sabbath. Therefore, the Jews said to him, [who] was cured, It is the Sabbath Day. It isn't lawful for you to carry your bed. [The cured man] answered them, He, [Who] made me whole, said to me, Take up your bed, & walk.

Then, they asked him, What Man is [this, Who] said to you, Take up your bed, & walk? And he, [who] was healed, [didn't know], Who it was. For Jesus conveyed, [a.k.a. moved,] Himself away, [since,] a multitude was in that place.

Afterward, Jesus [found] him in the temple, & said to him, [Look,] you are made whole. Sin no more, lest a worse thing [happens] to you. The man [left,] & told the Jews that it was Jesus, [Who] had made him whole.

*Therefore, the Jews [persecuted] Jesus, & sought to slay, [a.k.a. kill] Him, because He had done these things on the Sabbath Day. [Psalm 41:7 *All [those] [who] hate Me, whisper together against Me, & they do devise [plots] to My [harm.]

But Jesus answered them, My Father [works until this time,] & I work. [Matthew 12:10-13 And, [look,] there was a man, [who] had his hand withered. And they asked [Jesus,] saying, Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath days? [So,] that they might accuse Him. And [Jesus] said to them, What man shall be among you, [who] shall have 1 sheep, & if it [falls] into a pit on the Sabbath day, won't he lay hold on it, [a.k.a. grab it,] & lift it out? How much [more significant] then, is a man better than a sheep? [For this reason,] it is lawful to do well on the Sabbath days. Then, [Jesus said] to the man, Stretch [out] your hand. And he stretched it [out:] & it was restored whole, like the other.]

Therefore, the Jews sought [even] more to kill [Jesus,] because He had not only broken the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.

Then, Jesus answered & said to them, *[Very, truly,] I say to you, The Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He [sees] the Father do. For [whatever] things He does, the Son also [does the same.] [Psalm 8:6 *You [made] Him to have dominion, [a.k.a. authority, or control,] over the works of Your hands. You have put all things under His feet.]

For the Father loves the Son, & [declares to] Him all things that [He,] Himself, [does.] And He will [declare to] Him, greater works, [a.k.a miracles,] than these, [so] that you may marvel.

*For [like] the Father [raises] up the dead, & [gives] them [life,] even so: the Son [gives life to] whom He [wants.] [Proverbs 8:35-36 *For [whoever finds] Me, [finds] Life, & shall obtain the favor of the Lord. But, he, [who sins] against Me, [wrongs] his own soul. All [those, who] hate Me, love death.]

For the Father [judges] no man, but [has given] judgment to the Son. [So,] that all men should [honor] the Son, even [like] they [honor] the Father. He, [who doesn't honor] the Son, [doesn't honor] the Father, [Who has] sent Him. [John 3:17 For God [didn't send] His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.]

[Very, truly,] I say to you, He, [who hears] My Word, & believes [in] Him, [Who] sent Me, [has] everlasting Life, & shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto [eternal] Life. [John 3:18 He, [who believes in] Him, is not condemned. But he, [who doesn't believe,] is already condemned, because he [hasn't] believed in the Name of the only begotten Son of God.

[Very, truly,] I say to you, The hour is coming, & now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God. And [those, who] hear shall live. [Ephesians 2:4-5 For God, Who is rich in mercy, & for His great love, [with which] He loved us, even when we were dead [through] [our] sins, [God] [has given life to] us together with Christ, & (you are saved by grace.)]

*For [like] the Father [has] Life [within] Himself; so He [has] given to the Son, to have Life [within] Himself, & [has] given Him authority to [carry out] judgment, because He also is the Son of Man.  [Psalm 36:9 *For [within] You is the Fountain of Life: & in Your Light, we shall see Light.]

[Don't] marvel at this: for the hour is coming, in which all, [who] are in the graves, shall hear His voice. [Revelation 20:12 And I, [a.k.a. the apostle, John,] saw the dead, [powerless, & powerful,] stand before God. And the Books were opened. And another Book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged, according to their works, [a.k.a. deeds, from] those things that were written in the Books.]

*And [those, who] have done good, shall come [forward,] unto the Resurrection of Life. And [those, who] have done evil, [shall come,] to the resurrection of [condemnation.] [Daniel 12:2 *And many of [those, who] sleep in the [dirt] of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting Life, & some to shame & everlasting contempt.]

I can do nothing of [My] Ownself. I judge, [like] I hear, & My judgment is just, [a.k.a. fair;] because I [don't] seek [according to] [My] Own will, but the will of the Father, [Who has] sent Me.

[You say,] If I bear witness, [a.k.a. testify, about] Myself, My witness isn't true. [John 8:14-16 Jesus answered & said to them, [Although,] I bear record, [a.k.a. testify,] of Myself, [still] My record is True. For I know [where] I came [from,] & [where] I go. But you can't tell [from] [where] I [came, ] & [where] I go. You judge [according to] the flesh. I judge no man. And [still,] if I judge, My judgment is True. For I Am not alone. But [it is] I, & the Father, [Who] sent Me.

There is another, [who testifies] of Me. And I know that the witness [that] he [testifies] of Me is True. [Matthew 4:16-17 *And Jesus, when He was baptized, went up [immediately] out of the water. And, [look,] the heavens were opened to Him. And he, [a.k.a. John the Baptist,] saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, & lighting upon Him. And, [look,] a voice from heaven, saying, This is My beloved Son, in Whom I Am well pleased.]

You sent to John, & he [bore] witness to the Truth. [John 1:15 John [bore] witness of Him, & cried [out] saying, This was He, of Whom I [spoke,] He, [Who comes] after me, is preferred before me. For He was, [a.k.a. existed,] before me.]

But I [don't receive testimony from man: but I say these things, [so] that you might be saved. He, [a.k.a. John the Baptist,] was a burning & shining light. [John 1:7-8 The same came [as] a witness, to bear witness of the Light, [so] that all men might believe through him. He wasn't that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.]

And you were willing to rejoice in his light for a season. [Mark 6:16-18 But when Herod heard [of it,] he said, It is John, whom I beheaded. He is risen from the dead. For Herod, himself, had sent [out] & laid hold on, [a.k.a. seized,] John, & bound him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife. For [Herod] had married her. For John had said to Herod, It isn't lawful for you to have your brother's wife.]

But I have [a] greater, [a.k.a. more significant,] witness, than that of John: for the works, [a.k.a. Miracles, that] the Father has given Me to finish, [are] the same works that I do, & [testify] of Me, that the Father has sent Me. [Matthew 11:5 *The blind receive their sight; the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed; & the deaf hear. The dead are raised up; & the poor have the Gospel preached to them.]

And the Father, Himself, [Who] has sent Me, [has testified] of Me. You [haven't] heard His voice at any time, nor seen His [image.] [Mark 9:7-8 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them. And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is My beloved Son: hear Him. And suddenly, when they looked [all around,] they no [longer] saw any man, [except] only Jesus with themselves.]

And you [don't] believe [in] Whom He [has] sent, [because you] [don't] have His Word [living within] you. *Search the Scriptures. You think you have eternal Life, [through the Scriptures,] & they are [what] testify of Me. [Deuteronomy 18:18-19 *I will raise them up a Prophet, from among their brethren, [similar] to you, & will put My Words in His mouth. And He shall speak to all [those, who] I shall command Him. *And it shall [happen,] that [whoever] won't [pay attention] to My Words, [that] He shall speak in My Name, I will require it [from] him, [a.k.a. hold him accountable for disregarding My Words.]

And you won't come to Me, [so] that you might have [eternal] Life. [John 3:18 He, [who] believes [in] Him, isn't condemned. But he, [who doesn't] believe, is already condemned, because he [hasn't] believed in the Name of the only begotten Son of God.

I [don't] receive [honor] from men. [John 8:49 Jesus answered, I [don't] have a [demon; but I [honor] My Father, & you [dishonor] Me.]

But I know you, & that you [don't] have the love of God [within] you. I [have] come in My Father's Name. And you [wouldn't] receive, [a.k.a. accept,] Me. If another shall come in his own name, you will receive, [a.k.a. accept,] him. [Matthew 24:24 For false Christs shall arise there, & false prophets. And shall [show] great signs, & wonders, [a.k.a. miracles, in] that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect, [a.k.a. chosen.

How can you believe [those] [who] receive [honor] from one another, & [don't] seek the [honor] that only [comes] from God? [John 12:42-43 [Still,] many also believed [in Jesus,] among the [important] rulers. But because of the Pharisees, they didn't [publicly acknowledge Jesus,] lest they should be [cast] out of the synagogue. For they loved the praise of men, more than the praise of God.]

Don't think that I will accuse you to the Father: [for] there is one, [who] accuses you, even Moses, in whom you trust. *For [if] you had believed Moses, you would have believed Me: for [Moses] wrote of Me. [Deuteronomy 18:15 *The Lord your God will raise up to you a Prophet, from the midst of you, & of your brethren, [similar] to me, [a.k.a. Moses.] You shall [listen] to Him.]

But if you [don't] believe his writings, how can you believe My Words? [Luke 16:31 And [Jesus] said to him, If they [don't] hear Moses, & the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, [eventhough] One rose from the dead.]
