Be Followers of God Like Dear Children |
Ephesians 5:1-33 The Epistle of Paul to the Ephesians [in Smaller Chunks] |
Therefore, you be followers of God, [like] dear children. And walk, [a.k.a. follow,] in love, [like] Christ [has] also loved us, & [has] given Himself for us, an offering & sacrifice to God, for a sweet-smelling [aroma.] [Galatians 1:4 Who gave Himself for our sins, [so] that He might deliver us from the [current] evil world, according to the will of God, & our Father.] |
But let not: fornication, [a.k.a. adultery,] & all uncleanness, [a.k.a. impurity,] be [spoken] once among you, & [only what is] [becoming] [to the Lord God's] saints. |
Neither [speak what is:] [filthy;] foolish [talk;] jesting, [a.k.a. rude jokes;] which aren't convenient, [a.k.a. beneficial,] but [instead give] thanks [to the Lord God.] For you know this, that no: [sexual trafficker;] unclean person; covetous, [a.k.a. envyous,] man; [or he,] who is an idolater, [a.k.a. worshiper of idols or false gods, has] any inheritance in the Kingdom of: Christ & God. |
[Revelation 22:12-15 *And [watch,] I come quickly, & My reward is with Me, & shall be to give every man according [like] his work, [a.k.a. deeds.] I Am [the] Alpha & Omega, the Beginning & the End, the First & the Last. Blessed are [those, who] do His commandments, [so] that they may have right to the Tree of Life, & may enter in through the gates into the city. For [outside] are: dogs; sorcerers; [sexual traffickers;] murderers; idolaters; & [whoever] loves & makes [up lies.] |
Let no man deceive you with vain words. [Mark 7:6-7 [Jesus] answered & said to them, [Isaiah, has] prophesied [about] you hypocrites well, as it is written [in the Scriptures:] This people [honor] Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. [However,] they worship Me in vain, teaching the commandments of men, [as] doctrines.] |
[Since,] because of these things [comes] the wrath of God, upon the children, [a.k.a. people,] of disobedience. Therefore, [don't] be [participants] with them. For sometimes you were [in] darkness, but now you are [the] Light of the Lord. [Follow like] children of Light. [1 John 1:7 But if you walk, [a.k.a. follow,] in the Light, [like the Lord God] is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another. And the blood of Jesus Christ, His son, [cleanses] us from all sin.] |
(For the fruit Spirit is: goodness, righteousness, & truth, [within] all.) [Providing] what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful, [a.k.a. not beneficial,] works of darkness, but [instead, reject] them. |
For it's a shame to even speak of those things, which are done [by] them in secret. [Romans 1:24-25 [For this reason,] God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to [dishonor] their own bodies, between themselves. Who changed the Truth of God into a lie, & [worshiped] & served the creature more than the Creator, Who is blessed forever. Amen.] |
But all things that are [disapproved] are made manifest, [a.k.a. visible] by the Light. For [whatever makes] [it] [visible] is Light. [John 3:20-21 For everyone, [who does] evil, [hates] the Light, & neither [comes] to the Light, lest his deeds should be [disapproved.] But he, [who does] [what is:] Truth, [comes] to the Light, [so] that his deeds may be made [visible,] that they are [brought about through] God.] |
[For this reason, the Lord God says,] You, [who sleep] awake, & arise from the dead. And Christ shall give you Light. [Isaiah 26:19 Your dead men shall live, & shall arise together with My dead body. Awake & sing, you [who] dwell in the [dirt.] For your dew is [like] the dew of herbs, & the earth shall cast out the dead.] |
Then, see that you [follow] circumspectly, [a.k.a. carefully,] not [like] fools, but [like] [the] wise, redeeming the time, [a.k.a. using the remaining time,] [beneficially,] because the days are evil. [For this reason, don't] be unwise, but [understand] what the will of the Lord is. |
And [don't] be drunk with wine, [in which] is [excessive;] but be filled with the [Holy] Spirit. Speaking [within] yourselves, [with:] psalms; hymns; spiritual songs; singing, & making [melodies within] your heart to the Lord. |
[Give] thanks always to God, & the Father, in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, for all things. [Submit, a.k.a. yield,] yourselves to one another, in the fear, [a.k.a. respect,] of God. |
Wives [yield] yourselves to your own husbands, [like] to the Lord. For the husband is the head [over] the wife, even [like] Christ is the head [over] the church. And [Christ] is the [Savior] of the Body [of the church.] |
Therefore, [like] the church is subject, [a.k.a. under the control,] to Christ, let the wives [also] be [subject] to their own husbands in everything. [Titus 2:4-6 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, & to love their children, to be; discreet, [a.k.a. tactful;] chaste, [a.k.a. faithful; taking care] [of their] home; good & obedient to their own husbands, [so] that the Word of God [isn't] blasphemed. Young men, [should also] [be] [taught these,] & to be sober minded, [a.k.a. with a sound mind.] |
Husbands, love your wives, even [like] Christ also loved the church, & gave Himself for it. [So] that He might sanctify & cleanse it by the Word [of God, like] with the washing of water. |
[So] that, [Jesus Christ] might present to Himself a glorious church, [without] spot, wrinkle, or any such thing. But that [the church] should be holy & without blemish. |
Men ought to love their wives so, [like] their own bodies. He, [who loves] his wife, [loves] himself. For [still] no man ever hated his own flesh, [a.k.a. skin or body,] but [nourishes, & cherishes] it, even [like] the Lord [nourishes, & cherishes] the church. |
For we are members of [Jesus Christ's] Body, & of His flesh & His bones. For this [reason] man shall leave his father & mother, & shall be joined to his wife, & they [both] shall be one flesh. |
This is a great mystery. But I speak [about] Christ & the church. [However,] let everyone of you, [specifically] love his wife, even [like] himself. And [let] the wife see that she [respects] her husband. |
