John Declares He's Seen & Heard Jesus Christ, Our Arisen Lord & Savior |
1 John 1:1-10 The 1st Epistle, [a.k.a. Letter,] of John [in Smaller Chunks] |
The Word of Life, [a.k.a. Jesus Christ, Who] was from the Beginning. [John 1:1-4 In the Beginning was the Word, & the Word was with God, & the Word was God. The Same was in the Beginning with God. All things were made by Him. Not anything made, was made without Him. In Him was Life, & the Life was the Light of men.] |
[Whom] we have heard & we have seen with our [own] eyes, & we have looked upon, & [touched] [Him with] our hands. [John 20:25-29 Therefore, the other disciples said to [Thomas,] We have seen the Lord. But [Thomas] said to them, [Unless,] I shall see the print of the nails in His hands, & put my finger into the print of the nails, & thrust my hand into His side, I [won't] believe. And after 8 days, His disciples were [inside] again, & Thomas with them. Then Jesus came, the doors being shut, & stood in the [middle,] & said, Peace be to you. *Then, [Jesus said] to Thomas, Reach your finger [here,] & [see] My hands. And reach your hand [here,] & thrust it into My side. And [don't] be faithless, [a.k.a. unbelieving,] but believing. And Thomas answered & said to Him, My Lord & My God. Jesus [said] to him, Thomas, because you [have] seen Me, you [have] believed. Blessed are [those, who] haven't seen, & [still] have believed.] |
(For the Word of Life was manifested, [a.k.a. made visible,] & we have seen it, & bear witness, [a.k.a. testify,] & [declare] that Eternal Life to you [Who] was with the Father, & was [made apparent] to us.) |
[So] that, we declare to you, [Whom] we have seen & heard, [so] that you may also have fellowship with us. [1 Corinthians 15:3-9 *For I, 1st delivered to you, all of [what] I also received, & how Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures. And that He was buried, & that He rose again the 3rd day, according to the Scriptures. And that [Jesus Christ] was seen [by] Cephas, [a.k.a. Simon Peter,] & then [by] the 12. After that, He was seen [by over] 500 brethren at once; of whom the greater part, [a.k.a. the majority,] remain [until] this [day,] but some [have] fallen asleep, [a.k.a. have died.] After that, He was seen by James, & then, [by] all the apostles. And last of all, He was also seen [by] me, [a.k.a. Paul, or Saul, like a past-due baby that's] born. For I am the least of the apostles, & am not [worthy] to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.] |
And our fellowship is truly with the Father, & with His Son, Jesus Christ. And we write these things to you, [so] that your joy may be full, [a.k.a. fulfilled.] [1 Peter 1:7-8 That the trial, [a.k.a. test] of your faith, [which] [is] much more precious than gold that perishes, [although] it [is tested] with fire. [So, your faith] might be found [for:] praise; [honor;] & glory at [Jesus Christ's appearance.] Whom, you love, & [haven't] seen. In Whom, though you [don't] see Him now, [still] believing, you rejoice, full of glory, with unspeakable joy.] |
Then, this is the message [that] we have heard [from Jesus Christ,] & declare [it] to you, that God Is Light, & no darkness is in Him, at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, & walk, [a.k.a. follow,] in darkness, we lie, & don't [have] the Truth. [John 14:6-7 Jesus [said] to [Thomas,] I Am the Way, the Truth, & the Life. No man [comes] to the Father, [except] by Me. If you had known Me, you should have also known My Father. And from [now on,] you shall know Him, & have seen Him.] |
But if we [follow] in the Light, [like] He is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another. *And the Blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, [cleanses] us from all sin. [Isaiah 9:2 *The people, [who] walked in darkness, have seen a great Light. The Light [has] shined upon, [those, who] dwell in the land of the shadow of death.] |
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, & the Truth isn't [within] us. *If we confess our sins, [Jesus Christ] is faithful, & just, to forgive our sins, & to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [Psalm 32:5 *I acknowledge my sin to You, & I haven't [hidden my] iniquity, [a.k.a. sinfulness.] I said, I will confess my [sins] to the Lord, & You [forgave] the iniquity of my sin. Selah.] |
If we say that we haven't sinned, we make Him a liar, & His Word isn't [within] us. [John 3:36 He, [who believes in] the Son [of God,] [has] Everlasting Life. And he, [who doesn't believe] [in] the Son, shall not see [Eternal] Life; but the wrath of God [remains] on him.] |
