Hearing What Is Said to Four of the Churches |
Revelation 2:1-29 The Revelation of Jesus Christ [in Smaller Chunks] |
Write to the Angel of the church of Ephesus; He, [Who holds] the 7 stars in His right hand, & Who [walks] in the midst of the 7 golden candlesticks, [a.k.a. lampstands, says,] these things. [Zechariah 4:1-2 And the Angel, [who] talked with me, came again, & [woke] me [up,] [like] a man [who] is [awakened] out of his sleep. And [the Angel] said to me, What [do] you [see?] And I said, I have looked, & [saw] a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl on the top of it. And [its stand] [had] 7 lamps [upon it,] & 7 [glass] pipes, to [cover] the 7 lamps, [that] are upon the top [of it.] |
I know your works, [a.k.a. deeds;] your [labor;] & your patience, & how you [can't] bear, [a.k.a. tolerate, those who] are evil. And you [have] tried, [a.k.a. tested, those who] say they are apostles, & aren't, & [have] found them liars. |
And [you] [have] borne, [a.k.a. endured, with] patience. And for My Name's sake, [you] [have labored,] & [haven't] fainted, [a.k.a. given up.] [Still,] I have [something] against you, because you have left your first love. |
Therefore, remember, from [where] you [have] fallen, & repent, [a.k.a. change one's sinful ways.] And do the first [deeds,] or else I will come to you quickly, & will remove your candlestick out of [its] place, [unless] you repent. |
But you [have] this, that you [hated] the deeds of the [Nicolaitans,] which I also hate. He, [who has] an ear, let him hear what the [Holy] Spirit [says] to the churches. I will give to him, [who overcomes, to eat [from] the Tree of Life, which is in the [middle] of [God's] paradise. |
And write to the Angel of the church in Smyrna; The First & the Last, [Who] was dead, & Is Alive, [says] these things, I know your [deeds,] tribulation, & poverty, (but you [are] rich) & I know the blasphemy, [a.k.a. disrespect to the Lord God,] of [those, who] say they are Jews, & aren't, but are [from] the synagogue of Satan. |
[Don't] fear [any] of those things, [that] you [shall] suffer. [Watch,] the devil shall cast some of you into prison, [so] that you may be tried, [a.k.a. tested.] And you shall have tribulation 10 days. You, be faithful [until] death, & I will give you a crown of Life. [James 1:122 Blessed is the man [who endures] temptation. For when he is tried, [a.k.a. tested,] he shall receive the crown of Life, [that] the Lord [has] promised to [those, who] Love Him.] |
He, [who has] an ear, let him hear what the [Holy] Spirit [says] to the churches. He [who overcomes] shall not be hurt [by] the second death. |
And write to the Angel of the church in Pergamos; He, [Who has] the sharp sword with two edges, [says] these things, I know your [deeds,] & where you [dwell, a.k.a. live,] [I] even [know] where Satan's seat is. |
And, you, [hold] fast, [a.k.a. tightly to,] My Name. And [you] [haven't] denied [your] faith [in] [Me,] even in those days [in which] Antipas, My faithful martyr was [killed] among you, where Satan [dwells.] |
But I have a few things against you, because you [have] there, [those, who] hold the doctrine, [a.k.a. teaching,] of Balaam, who taught [Balak] to cast a stumbling-block [in front of] the children, [a.k.a. people,] of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to Idols, & to commit fornication, [a.k.a. adultery.] [Numbers 31:16-17 [See,] these caused the children, [a.k.a. people,] of Israel, to commit [sin] against the Lord, in the matter of Peor, through the [advice] of Balaam. And there was a plague among the congregation of the Lord. Therefore, now kill every male among the little ones, & kill every woman, [who has] [intimately] known [a] man by lying with him.] |
So, you also [have those, who] hold the doctrine of the [Nicolaitans,] [in what] thing I hate. [Numbers 25:1-3 And Israel [stayed] in Shittim, & the people began to commit [what is:] [unfaithful harlotry,] with [Moab's] daughters. And they called the people to the sacrifices of their gods. And the people [ate] & bowed down to their gods. And Israel joined [itself] to Baal-Peor. And the anger of the Lord [grew] against Israel.] |
Repent, or else I will come to you quickly, & will fight against them with the sword [from] My mouth. He, [who has] an ear, let him hear what the [Holy] Spirit [says] to the churches. I will give hidden manna to him to eat, [who overcomes,] & will give him a white stone. And [on] the stone a new name written, [that] no man [knows except] he, [who receives] it. [Isaiah 56:5 *In My house, I will give, even to [those] within My walls, a place & a name better than [that] of sons & daughters. I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.] |
Write to the Angel of the church in Thyatira, The Son of God, Who [has] His eyes [similar] to a flame of fire, & His feet are like fine brass, [says] these things, I know your: [deeds;] charity, [a.k.a. love;] service; faith; & your patience; & your [work] [sharing your faith in Jesus Christ.] And the last [is] more [significant] than the first. |
[Still,] I have a few things against you, because you [allowed] Jezebel, that woman, [who calls] herself a prophetess, to teach & to seduce My servants to commit fornication, [a.k.a. adultery,] & to eat things sacrificed to idols. [1 Chronicles 16:25-26 For great is the Lord, & greatly to be praised. He is also to be feared, [a.k.a. respected,] above all gods. For all the gods of the people are idols, but the Lord made the heavens.] |
And I gave her [time] to repent [from] her fornication, & she [didn't repent.] [Look,] I will cast her into a bed, & [those, who] commit adultery with her, [will be cast] into great tribulation, [unless] they repent of their deeds. |
And with death, I will kill her children, & all the churches shall know that I Am He, [Who] searches the [heart strings,] & hearts. And I will give to everyone of you, according to your [deeds.] [1 Kings 8:38-40 [Whatever] prayer & [request is] made by any man, or by all your people, Israel, [that] every man shall know the plague, [a.k.a. affliction,] of his own heart, & [spreads out] his hands toward this house. Then You, in heaven, your dwelling place, hear, & forgive, & do [what's needed,] & give to every man according to his ways, [a.k.a. actions,] whose heart you know. (For You, even Only You, [know] the hearts of all the children of men;) [so] that they may fear, [a.k.a. respect,] You all the days that they live in the land, which you [gave] to our [forefathers.] |
But I say to you, & to the rest in Thyatira, as many as [don't] have this doctrine, [a.k.a. teaching,] [of Jezebel,] & [who] haven't known the depths of [Satan's] [wickedness,] [like] they speak, I [won't] put [any] other burden upon you. [Matthew 11:28-30 Come to Me, all you, [who labor,] & are heavy laden, [a.k.a. loaded with heavy burdens,] & I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you. For I Am meek, [a.k.a. humble,] [with a] lowly heart: & you shall find rest [for] your souls. For My yoke is easy, & My burden is light.] |
But that, [a.k.a. doctrine,] which you already have, hold fast, [a.k.a. hold tight to it, until] I come. [Revelation 3:11 [Watch,] I come quickly. Hold fast, [a.k.a. tight to,] that which you [have, so] that no man [takes] your crown.] |
And to [him, who overcomes,] & [keeps] [doing] My [work, until] the end, I will give to him power over the nations. [John 6:29 Jesus answered & said to them, This is the work of God, that you believe [in] Him, Whom He [has] sent.] |
And He shall rule them with [an] iron rod, even [like] I received [from] My Father, & they shall be broken to [pieces, like] the vessels, [a.k.a. clay pots,] of a potter. And I will give him the Morning Star. [2 Peter 1:19 We also have a more sure, [a.k.a. certain,] Word of prophecy, [by which] you do well [to] [pay attention. [Similar] to Light that [shines] in a dark place, the Day Star, [a.k.a. Morning Star, arises] in your hearts, until the day [dawns.] |
