About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

John 11:1-57 Jesus Raises Lazarus from the Dead

Jesus Raises Lazarus from the Dead

John 11:1-57          The Gospel According to John [in Smaller Chunks]

Now, a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, [from] Bethany, the town of Mary, & her sister, Martha. (It was that Mary, whose brother was sick, [who] [also] anointed the Lord with ointment, [a.k.a. fragrant oil,] & wiped [Jesus'] feet with her hair.)

Therefore, [Lazarus'] sisters sent to [Jesus,] saying, Lord, [see,] he whom you [love] is sick. When Jesus heard that, He said, This sickness is not  [going to lead] to death, but [it's] for the glory of God, [so] that  the Son of God might be glorified, [by this.]

Now, Jesus loved Martha, her sister, & Lazarus. Therefore, when [Jesus] had heard that [Lazarus] was sick, [Jesus] still [remained] 2 days in the same place where He was. Then, after that [Jesus] said to His disciples, Let us go to Judaea, [a.k.a. Judea, again.

[Jesus'] disciples [said] to Him, Master, [a.k.a. Teacher,] of late, the Jews sought to stone You, & [are] You [going there] again? [John 8:58-59 Jesus said to them, [Very, truly,] I say to you, I Am, before Abraham was. Then, they [picked] up stones to [throw] at Him, but Jesus hid Himself, & went out of the temple, going through the [middle] of them, & passed by [like this.]

Jesus answered, Aren't there 12 hours in the day? *If any man [walks during] the day, he [doesn't] stumble, because he [sees] the Light of this world. [Isaiah 9:2 *The people, [who] walked in darkness, have seen a great Light. The Light has shined upon [those, who] dwell in the land of the shadow of death.]

But if a man [walks] in the night, he [stumbles,] because there is no Light in him. [John 9:4-5 I must [do] the work of Him, [Who] sent Me, while it is day. The night [comes,] when no man can work. As long as I Am in the world, I Am the Light of the world.]

[Jesus] said these things, & after that, He [said] to them, Our friend, Lazarus [sleeps;] but I go, [so] that I may awake him out of sleep. Then [Jesus'] disciples said, Lord, if he [sleeps,] he shall do well. [However,] Jesus [spoke] of [Lazarus'] death: but they thought that [Jesus] had spoken of  taking [a] rest in sleep.

Then, Jesus said plainly to them, Lazarus is dead. And I'm glad for your sakes that I wasn't there, [in order that] you may believe. Nevertheless, let's go to him. Then, Thomas, [who] is called Didymus, said to his fellow disciples, Let's also go, [so] that we may die with Him. [John 10:30-31 My Father & I are One. Then, the Jews [picked] up stones again to stone [Jesus.]

Then, when Jesus came, He found that [Lazarus] had already lain in the grave 4 days. Now, Bethany was [near] to Jerusalem, about 15 furlongs [away.] And many of the Jews came to Martha & Mary, to comfort them [about] their brother. Then, as soon as Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went & met Him.

But Mary still sat in the house. Then, Martha said to Jesus, Lord, if [only] You [had] been here, my brother [wouldn't] [have] died. But I know, that even now, God will give [to] You, [whatever] You [will] ask of God.

Jesus [said] to [Martha,] Your brother shall rise again. Martha said to [Jesus,] I know that he shall rise again, in the resurrection [on] the last day. Jesus said to her, I Am the Resurrection, & the Life. He, [who believes] in Me, [although] he were dead, yet shall he live. And [whoever lives] & [believes] in Me, shall never die. [Do] you [believe] this?

[Martha] said to [Jesus, Yes,] Lord. I believe that You [are] the Christ, the Son of God, [Who] should come into the world. And when [Martha had said [this,] she went [on] her way, & called her sister, Mary, secretly, saying, The Master, [a.k.a. Teacher, has] come, & [calls] for you. As soon as [Mary] heard that, she arose quickly, & came to [Jesus.]

Now, Jesus [hadn't] come into the town yet, but was in [the] place where Martha met Him. Then, when the Jews, [who] were with [Mary] in the house, & comforted her, saw that Mary rose up [hurriedly,] & went out; they followed her, saying, She [goes] to the grave to weep there.

Then, when Mary [came] [to] where Jesus was, & saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, Lord, if [only] You [had] been here, my brother [wouldn't] [have] died. Therefore, when Jesus saw [Mary] weeping & the Jews, [who] came with her also weeping, [Jesus] groaned in the spirit, & was troubled.

And [Jesus] said, Where have you laid him? They said to Him, Lord, come & see. Jesus wept. Then, the Jews said, [See,] how He loved [Lazarus!] And some of them said, Couldn't this Man, [Who] opened the eyes of the blind, have caused, that even this man shouldn't have died?

Therefore, Jesus [came] to the grave, groaning again [within] Himself. It was a cave, & a stone, [a.k.a. boulder,] lay upon it. Jesus said, You, take away the stone. Martha, the sister of [Lazarus, who] was dead, [said] to Him, Lord, by this time, he [stinks:] for he [has] been dead 4 days.

Jesus [said] to her, [Didn't] I [say] to you, that, if you [would] believe, you [should] see the glory of God? Then, they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid.

And Jesus lifted up His eyes, & said, Father, I thank You, that You [have] heard Me. And I knew that You always [hear] Me; but I said it, because of the people, [who] stand [nearby, so] that they may believe that You [have] sent Me.

And when [Jesus] had spoken [this,] He cried [out] with a loud voice, Lazarus, come [out.] And [Lazarus, who] was dead, came [out, tied] hand & foot, with [grave cloths,] & [tied around] his face was a napkin. Jesus [said] to them, Loosen him, & let him go.

Then, many of the Jews, [who] came to Mary, & had seen the things [that] Jesus did, believed [in] Him. But some of them went [on] their ways to the Pharisees, & told them what things Jesus had done.

Then, the chief priests, & Pharisees gathered a council, & said, What do we [do?] *For this Man [does] many miracles. [Psalm 41:7 *All [who] hate Me, whisper together against Me. They devise [plots] to My [harm,] against Me.]

If we let Him alone [like this,] all men will believe [in] Him. And the Romans shall come & take away both our: [positions,] & nation. And one of them, being the high priest that same year, named Caiaphas, said to them, You know nothing at all, nor [do you] consider that it is expedient for us, [a.k.a to our benefit,] that one man should die for the people, [so] that the whole nation [doesn't] perish.

*And he [didn't speak] this [about] himself, but being high priest that year, [Caiaphas,] prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation. [Isaiah 53:5-6 *But He was wounded for our [sins,] & He was bruised for our iniquities. The [punishment for] our peace was upon Him. And with His stripes, [a.k.a. whip marks,] we are healed. *All we, like sheep, have gone astray. We have everyone, turned to his own [ways.] And the Lord [has] laid on Him, the [sin] of us all.]

And [Jesus] should also gather together in one, [a.k.a. unite,] not only for that nation, but also the children of God, [who] were scattered abroad. Then, from that day [on,] they took counsel together, [in order] to put [Jesus] to death. [Matthew 26:4-5 And [they] consulted, [so] that they might take Jesus by subtilty, [a.k.a. trickery,] & kill Him. But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there [is] an uproar among the people.]

Therefore, Jesus no [longer] walked openly among the Jews, but went [from there,] into a city called Ephraim, to a country near the wilderness, & continued there with His disciples.

And the Jews' Passover was [close] at hand. And many went out of the country up to Jerusalem, before the Passover, to purify themselves. Then, they sought for Jesus, & [spoke] among themselves, as they stood in the temple, What [do] you think, won't [Jesus] come to the feast?

Now both the chief priests & the Pharisees ad given a [command,] that, if any man knew where [Jesus was,] he should [declare] it, [so] that they might take, [a.k.a. seize, Jesus.]

[Matthew 26:14-16 Then, 1 of the 12, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests. & said to them, What will you give me, & I will deliver Him to you? And they [contracted] with [Judas,] for 30 pieces of silver. And from that time, [Judas] sought [an] opportunity to betray [Jesus.]
