About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

John 19:1-42 Pilate Had Jesus Whipped

Pilate Had Jesus Whipped

John 19:1-42          The Gospel According to John [in Smaller Chunks]

*Therefore, Pilate then took Jesus, & scourged, [a.k.a. whipped,] Him. [Isaiah 53:5 *But He was wounded for our [sins.] He was bruised for our iniquities. The [discipline] for our peace was upon Him. And we are healed with His stripes, [a.k.a. whip marks.]

And the soldiers [wove] a crown of thorns, & put it on [Jesus'] head. And they put a purple robe on Him, & said, Hail, King of the Jews! *And they [struck Jesus] with their hands. [Isaiah 50:5-6 *The Lord God has opened [My] ear, & I wasn't rebellious. Neither [did I] [turn] away [My] back. *I gave My back to smiters, [a.k.a those, who whip or hit,] & My cheeks to [those, who [pulled out] the hair. I [didn't hide] My face from shame & spitting.]

*Therefore, Pilate went out again, & [said] to them, [See,] I bring Him [out] to you, [so] that you may know that I find no fault in Him. [Isaiah 53:9 *And He made His grave with the wicked, & with the rich in His death. Because He had done no violence, & neither was any deceit in His mouth.]

*Then, Jesus came [out,] wearing the crown of thorns, & the purple robe. And Pilate [said] to them, [See,] the Man! [Psalm 22:4-6 *Our [forefathers] trusted in You. They trusted, & You [delivered] them. They cried [out] to You, & were delivered. They trusted in You, & weren't [dismayed.] But I Am a worm, & no man; a [disgrace to] men, & despised [by] people.]

Therefore, when the chief priests & officers saw [Jesus,] they cried out, saying, Crucify Him, crucify Him. *Pilate [said] to them, You, take Him. For I find no fault in Him. [Psalm 2:2-3 *The kings of the earth set, [a.k.a. appoint,] themselves. And the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, & against His Anointed, saying, Let us break Their bands [a.k.a. ties, to pieces,] & [thow] away Their cords from us.]

*The Jews answered [Pilate,] We have a Law, & by our Law, He ought to die, because He made Himself the Son of God. [Matthew 17:5 *While [Peter still spoke, saw] a bright cloud overshadowed them. And [witnessed,] a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is My beloved Son, in Whom I Am well pleased. You, hear Him.]

Therefore, when Pilate heard that saying, he was [even] more afraid; & went again into the Judgment Hall, & [said] to Jesus, [Where are] You [from?] *But Jesus [didn't] answer [Pilate.]

[Isaiah 53:7 *He was oppressed, & He was afflicted, [still] He [didn't open] His mouth. He is brought [like] a lamb to the slaughter, & [like] a sheep is [mute] before [its] shearers, so He [didn't open] His mouth.]

*Then, Pilate said to [Jesus, Don't] You speak to me? [Don't] You [know] I have power, [a.k.a. authority,] to crucify You, & have power to release You? Jesus answered, You [could] have no power at all against Me, [unless] it were given [to] you from above. Therefore, he, [who] delivered Me to you, [has] the greater sin. [Mark 14:43-36 And immediately, while [Jesus still spoke,] Judas, 1 of the 12, [came] & with him a [large] multitude with swords & [clubs,] from the chief priest & the scribes & elders.

And [Judas, who] had betrayed [Jesus,] had given them a [sign,] saying, [Whomever] I shall kiss, that same is He. Take Him, & lead Him away safely. And as soon as [Judas came,] he [immediately went] to [Jesus,] & [said,] Master, master, [a.k.a. Rabbi or Teacher,] & kissed [Jesus.] And they laid their hands on [Jesus,] & took Him.]

And from [then on,] Pilate sought to release [Jesus:] but the Jews cried out, saying, If you let this Man go, you aren't Caesar's friend, [since] [Whoever makes] Himself a King, [speaks] against Caesar. [Luke 23:1-2 And the whole multitude of them arose, & led [Jesus] to Pilate. And they began to accuse [Jesus,] saying, We found this Fellow [deceiving] the nation, & forbidding to give tribute, [a.k.a. taxes,] to Caesar, saying that He, Himself, is Christ a King.]

Therefore, when Pilate heard that saying, he brought Jesus [out] & sat down in the Judgment Seat [at] a place called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew [language, it is called:] Gabbatha. And it was the Preparation Day, [a.k.a. day before the Sabbath, for] the Passover [around] the 6th hour. *And [Pilate said] to the Jews, [Look,] your King! [Jeremiah 23:5-6 *[Look,] the days come, [says] the Lord, that I will raise unto David a Righteous Branch, & a King shall [rule] & prosper, & shall [carryout] judgment & justice. *[During] His days, Judah shall be saved, & Israel shall dwell safely. And this is His Name [by which] He shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.]

But they cried out, Away with Him. Away with Him. Crucify Him. Pilate [said] to them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king, but Caesar. Then, [Pilate] delivered [Jesus,] to them to be crucified. *And they took Jesus, & led Him away. [Isaiah 53:8 *He was taken from prison, & from judgment, [a.k.a. justice.] And who shall declare His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living. He was [struck,] for the [sins] of My people.]

And he, [carrying Jesus'] cross went [out] into a place called The Skull, which is called in the Hebrew [language:] Golgatha. [Luke 23:26 And as they led [Jesus] away, they laid hold upon, [a.k.a. grabbed,] one, Simon, a Cyrenian, coming [from] the country, & laid the cross on him, [so] that he might [carry] it after Jesus.]

*Where they crucified [Jesus,] & 2 [others] with Him, on either side, & Jesus in the [middle.] [Psalm 22:16 *For dogs have [surrounded] Me. The assembly of the wicked have [enclosed] Me. They pierced My hands & My feet.]

And Pilate wrote a title, & put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. Then, many of the Jews read this title. For the place where Jesus was crucified was [near] the city. And it was written in Hebrew, Greek, & Latin.

Then, the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, [Don't] write, The King of the Jews; but [instead,] that He said, I Am King of the Jews. Pilate answered, What I have written, I have written.

Then, when they had crucified Jesus, the soldiers took [Jesus'] garments, & made 4 parts, [a.k.a. portions,] [& gave] to every soldier a [portion.] And also [Jesus'] coat was woven from the top, throughout, without [a] seam. *

*Therefore, they said among themselves, Let's not [tear] it, but [let's] cast lots for, whose it shall be. [So,] that the Scriptures might be fulfilled, [that says,] They parted My [clothing] among them. And they did cast lots for My vesture, [a.k.a. outer garment.] *Therefore, the soldiers did these things. [Psalm 22:18 *They part My garments among them, & cast lots on My vesture.]

Now, His mother, & His mother's sister, Mary, the wife of Cleophas, & Mary Magdalene, stood there by the cross of Jesus. Therefore, when Jesus saw His mother, & the disciple, whom He loved, standing [near] by, [Jesus said] to His mothers, Woman, [see] your son! [John 21:24 This is the disciple, [who testifies about] these things, & wrote these things. And we know that his testimony is true.]

Then, [Jesus said] to the disciple, [See,] your mother! And from that hour, that disciple took her [into] his own home. *After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, [so] that the Scripture might be fulfilled, [said,] I thirst. [Psalm 22:15 *My strength is dried up like a potsherd, [a.k.a. broken piece of pottery;] & My tongue [clings] to My jaws. And you have brought Me into the dust, [a.k.a. dirt,] of death.]

*Now, a vessel full of vinegar was [put] there. And they filled a [sponge] with vinegar, & put it upon [a branch of] hyssop, & put it to [Jesus'] mouth. [Psalm 69:21 *They also gave Me [bitter] gall for My meat, [a.k.a. food.] And in My thirst, they gave Me vinegar to drink.]

Therefore, when Jesus had received the vinegar, He said, It is finished. And [Jesus] bowed His head, & gave up the ghost, [a.k.a. died.]

Therefore, the Jews, [urged] Pilate that their legs might be broken, & they might be taken away, because it was the [Day of] Preparation, [a.k.a. day prior to the Sabbath,] & the bodies shouldn't remain upon the cross on the Sabbath Day, (for the Sabbath Day was [a] high day.) [Leviticus 23:3 Work shall be done 6 days: but the 7th day is the Sabbath of rest, [a] Holy [assembly.] You shall do no work [on it.] It is the Sabbath of the Lord, in all your dwellings.]

Then, the soldiers came, & [broke] the legs of the 1st, & the other [who] were crucified with [Jesus.] *But when they came to Jesus, & saw that He was already dead, one of the soldiers with a spear, pierced [Jesus'] side, & [immediately] blood & water came out [of] there.

And he, [who] saw it bare record, [a.k.a testified,] & his record, [a.k.a. testimony,] was true. And he [knows what] he [says] [is] true, [so] that you might believe. *For these things were done, [so] that the Scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of Him shall not be broken. [Psalm 34:20 *He [keeps] His bones. Not one of them is broken.]

*And again, another Scriptures [says,] They shall look on Him, Whom they pierced. [Zechariah 12:10 *And I will pour the Spirit of Grace & of [petitions] upon the house of David, & [Jerusalem's] inhabitants. And they shall look upon Me, Whom they have pierced. And they shall mourn for Him, [like someone mourns] for His only Son, & shall be in bitterness for Him, [like someone who] is in bitterness for His firstborn.]

And after this, Joseph of Arimathaea, secretly being a disciple of Jesus, for fear of the Jews, [begged] Pilate, that he might take away [Jesus'] body. And Pilate gave [Joseph of Arimathaea, permission.] Therefore, [Joseph] came, & took the body of Jesus. And also Nicodemus came there & brought 100 pound weight mixture of myrrh & aloes, [who] at first came to Jesus [at] night.

Then, they took the body of Jesus, & wound it in linen, clothes, [a.k.a. cloths,] with spices, [like] the [Jews' custom] is to bury. Now there was a garden in the place where [Jesus] was crucified. And in the garden [was] a new [tomb, in which no] man was [ever] laid. *Therefore, they laid Jesus there, because of the Jew's Preparation Day, [a.k.a. day before the Sabbath Day.]

[Isaiah 53:9-10 *And He made His grave with the wicked, & in His death with the rich, because He had done no violence, & neither was any deceit in His mouth. *[Still,] it pleased the Lord to bruise Him, & He [has] put Him to grief. When You shall make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, [a.k.a. descendants,] & He shall prolong His days, & the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His [hands.]

For the [tomb] was [close] at hand, [a.k.a. nearby.]
